The BLK OPS, Uncommon Stories From United States Special Operations
Forces Veterans History Project (BLKOPS-VHP) is a one-of-a-kind
multimedia exhibit.
The purpose of BLKOPS-VHP is to preserve and
showcase stories of underrepresented veterans so future generations
may be inspired by their military service and love for America.
The National Veterans Memorial and Museum will host the BLKOPS - VHP
exhibit starting June 2024 through November 2024. The exhibit will focus on stories from underrepresented groups of veterans who served in the U.S. Army, Navy, Air Force, and Marines Corps.
The BLK OPS multimedia exhibit will be physically displayed at the National Veterans
Memorial Museum, located at 300 West Broad Street, Columbus, Ohio 43215.

BLKOPS STORY COLLECTION DETAILS
Who - Veterans from all branches of the U.S. Military who have served in the U.S. Special Operations Units who served from World War II through the most
recent campaigns are eligible to participate.
What - BLKOPS-VHP will collect personal narratives through audio, video, photographs, and written memoirs.
When - The BLKOPS-VHP exhibit will debut in June 2024 through December 2024 at the National Veterans Memorial Museum (NVMM) in Columbus, Ohio.
Where - Interviews will be collected in person at the veteran's home or at a predetermined indoor location arranged before the interview.
Why - The purpose of the BLKOPS-VHP is to preserve veteran stories of
underrepresented service members of the U.S. Special Operations Forces.
These veterans' stories, photographs, and other personal artifacts will serve as a rich supplement to American military history and be an inspiration for future military service members.

How - First, complete the BLKOPS-VHP participant questionnaire to provide a brief overview of your military service. Afterward, a BLKOPS-VHP
representative will contact you to schedule an interview session. In addition,
you will receive a list of interview questions to help prepare your thoughts for
the interview. In addition, please bring original photographs or documents to
supplement your story.
