For anyone wondering, this place wasn't exclusively an animal testing facility. It was a disease research institute built in 1912, they would study both animals and humans and use this data to develop vaccines. It also functioned as an educational facility (you can see all the seats in the autopsy theater where medical student would have observed). They shut it down in 2017, no idea why but it's pretty sad to see all those specimens and valuable research abandoned.
How did you get access to a place so well preserved with even electricity still running? It's almost like its been frozen in time since it was abandoned and you're the first to ever visit it.. how is that even possible? So intriguing!
A lot of the time in laboratories there will be multiple groups working on different projects in the same space, so the human blood samples may have been for something completely unrelated to the animal testing being done in the same facility. I’m not sure if the rules have changed since the 90s when this place was abandoned, but in the US the facility gets the licence to conduct animal testing rather than the individuals, so anyone that works in the facility and is trained in house will be able to conduct research, which might explain why there seems to be different types of research taking place. The poster on the wall explaining the types of surgery that can be conducted in that room might not be the animals that were researched on there, but might just be an explanation for the laws at the time, as I have seen posters like that in laboratory’s I’ve been in that explain the correct way to conduct research on a number of different animals not kept by the lab, but all the rules need to be on the wall for legal reasons. One reason it might have been abandoned could be that funding for the research or the facility was pulled suddenly, this can happen for a number of reasons but it wouldn’t explain why all of those samples were simply left abandoned like that. That should never have happened.

I know you are trying to frame whatever went on in this research facility as a “sad animal research story” but please keep in mind these were animals being used in medical research. We can only hope the animals were treated in the best way possible (animal abuse should never be tolerated), labs do tend to follow multiple rules and practices to keep pain to a minimum. Again, you can totally believe research on animals to be immoral, but I don’t think it’s fair to just assume that the things that were done in there were some sort of evil. We have many labs throughout the country and the world right now working with animal models in order to develop life saving medications we use every day!! These researchers are not evil and do it with the best of intentions.
The lab and associated companies were found to be using funding for non-medical related/already disproven theories. It was closed because of repeated reports of abuse. Before commenting, please do some research on the place and the statements made by the person in this video.
