Why doesn’t Winnipeg sign Ehlers to a 5x7 million, and then trade him for full value? That should always be the way we trade moving forward, unless I’m missing something.

Jets missed out on a legit Stanley cup coach. Nothing against Arniel. Ehlers has to go loved his play but he’s a seasonal player. He not a playoff gritty player who can help battle on the boards. He’s been given enough chances. Time to move on

Size and speed. Fire the coach? Laughable. I like 27, he’s exciting. Like it or not but it’s time to move on. Same goes with the d core. Need size and puck movers. Jets got hemmed in their zone because they are slow, lost puck battles, and failed clearing in front of the net for helly becuz of the larger size avs. Helly said it himself he couldn’t see shots. Where the coaches failed? Helly was at a low. LB should’ve played game 4 & 5 to inject life into the team to stir things up. Other teams have done it. Guess what? Jets are golfing and avs are now in game 6. Time to make more changes and tweaks. Now it’s up to chevy to bring in guys to help win the cup.
@@firethecoach8800 Jets need players that are built for the playoffs. That's not Ehlers. The Jets need some guys that play with an edge and grit. These are the hard, but necessary moves that need to be made. This is a business about winning, not keeping guys just because they were drafted by the Jets. The main question will be if Chevy is prepared to make the tough decisions to reshape this team into one that's built for the playoffs. I have my doubts. We saw what he did after the momentum of the 2018 run.
What does he bring in the playoffs? This whole notion that we can't replace what he brings is blinding people from facts. The Jets NEED a right-shot d-man more than they need a streaky winger. What's been the Jets problem the last few years? The blueline. And we saw just how underwhelming our blueline was in the playoffs. Love Ehlers, but at the end of the day, the business is about winning. Guys can't be sacred cows just because there's worry that what they bring can't be replaced.
Wow glad you’re not a GM. As a GM you can’t keep guys because you LIKE them. 27 is a seasonal performer but is statistically NOT a playoff style player. LOOK at the remaining teams. Look how Avs man handled the smaller D core and forwards. Stop being a fan boy of one player, It’s time to move on and bring in guys to win the cup. It’s a business time to bring in new employees.
