Beautiful final results tog! Love that you got the adularescence and the schiller in the same face! And yea, cracks are just the way it goes with feldspar, as long as it holds together its a win in my books!
"probably not" .... We yes BUT it doesn't hurt the chances either, and the world is now prettier, because of this stone! So I say it's a win, win!! 🥰🥰🥰
Schiller, Shiny and Sparkly - just what a stone should be - and this one's a little drop of sunshine ☺ Another year almost over... Happy New Year 'Opal', and to all your channel subs too ☺☺
Carlyn was also kind enough to send me a couple of chunks of sunstone. Cannot wait to see how it turns out. Just about done the woodworking aspect of my project. Ought to be cutting again by the end of the week.
I'm starting to see what you find amazing about this stone. I really like the way the gold sparkles go inside the stone giving it depth and sparks. Great presentation and of course pictures. I really like it when it hits the layers... I'll need to research what it is and where it comes from... I like the fact you decided there wasn't anything ugly about it. Thank you for sharing this
TOG, you certainly brought all the sunshine out of that sunstone, plus all of it's sparkly goodness. ☀️🌞✨🎆
Thanks for the kind comment and watching!
Always fun and inspirational. Thank you, TOG, you rock!
I am glad to entertain and I do hope to inspire!
Justice has been served to that stone! I love the free form shape! I'm a sucker for them!
It really looks good in its final form. Sunstone may be getting more attention(I have a fair amount of rough to work with, and it is fun stuff.
The joke about the pitting of an the stone being delicious was funny to me! ✨😂✨❤✨
I am glad you enjoyed the video. I am learning more each time I cut sunstone.
fingers crossed
It is looking good, so far.

Thanks, Carlyn. It is getting me excited to cut bigger pieces off of the mother stone!

Thanks, Sally. Schiller is pretty neat, I should have paid more attention to stones that possess it.

that schiller is just flat out blinding, at times, in the microscope. it struggles to recover after it's hit.
