That last press from Hoijlund to win the ball against Alvarez is so satisfying to watch, especially when we were trying to keep the ball and run out the time. Hojlund pis a fighter, no doubting he'll score alot of goals, still developing.

It seems more now because United are performing so terribly (hasn’t been improved even slightly by Mainoo either, still the easiest midfield to walk through). He’s the only bright light they have! Greenwood, Martial, Rashford, Garnacho, Depay, Morrison, Pogba, James Wilson, Welbeck, Macheda, Tuanzebe, Angel Gomes, Chong, Elanga, even Shoretire had hype for about 2 weeks. Some far more than others of course, but it’s in United’s DNA to overhype players. If Mainoo played for Fulham he’d have NOWHERE near the same hype based on his performances

I can’t remember the last time I saw any midfield player of any era in such command of opposition as vaunted as City’s. Mainoo looked levels better than Foden, De Bruyne and Silva… on the day. His reading of the game, ball control and distribution… were all elite level.

I think the kid just has the right temperament to play this role. It's like when they select pilots in the military and assign their plane. You see the fighter jet kinds always jump and are pumped, while the B2 guys are more reserved in their demeanor.

As an arsenal fan I have to say Mainoo from the small amount of games ive seen him in has a high footballing IQ for this age and will no doubt be a baller as a 8 going forward . He has great ball carrying and passing ability and he can dictate dictate the tempo of the game knows when to slow things down and retain the ball or go forward and creates scoring chances for his teammates. He has great vision and fairly precise distribution.On a defensive contributions level he is timely with interceptions and tackles. His adaptability to different positions is also on a ridiculous level and has bags of agility in tight half spaces as well as amazing composure for this age. I cant see him failing at united he seems to be getting better and better in every game I see him in and doesn't shy away in difficult games and big games . United just need a certified 6 really like Amadou Onana which I hope arsenal can get.

Until I watched this video I hadn't spotted that Kobbie had initiated his goal-scoring move with a defensive header in his own penalty area. It was a great team performance with the added bonus of several outstanding individual efforts and Kobbie's contribution was First Class👍👍
