Hey, everyone! A few things: 1) Anyone complaining about the inclusion of a 5700 XT Liquid Devil can pack sand. Thanks. 2) I mentioned earlier in the video that I intended to combine both loops. That won't be happening and it's explained a bit later. 3) Nate still hasn't been fired. 4) I completely changed the cables in this build. You'll see them in Part 3. 5) Things are very difficult to source given the current global outlook - hence why this build's been taking so long to complete. Even if I wanted to buy everything out of pocket, I'd need to wait several weeks for certain _crucial_ components to arrive. I promise I'll finish as soon as possible. I don't enjoy dragging things out, either :-)
Dude, I get it. I've been waiting to buy this desk but it's completely out of stock due to everything going on. And, not sure what anyone has against her card, there's nothing wrong with it. Not everyone needs a 2080ti. Looking forward to part 3 to see more about how you intend to link everything together to make it look like one cohesive build. Also, if you need inspiration on your tubing setup IFR recently built in a DK05: ruclips.net/video/e8gGoKxX0UI/видео.html
I am currently in the process of trying to do a build in this desk/case as well, it has taken me at least 4 yrs to get just the desk, everytime I go to grab it, it goes out of stock, I have finally gotten one on reserve for myself and intend to pick it up on 2/25/2023, even have to drive 12 hrs to the microcenter to pick it up 6 hours there 6 hours back as that is as far as it ships, it is crazy
You're a brave man grabbing the pins on your RAM, video cards and SSDs! Just my unwanted two cents but probably not the best habit to teach the internet. Other than that, enjoyed the series - keep up the good work.
been needing to upgrade from a 8350 fx but everything sold out or super expensive right now so nice to see your trying to finish your project. but i still love to watch all the builds on you-tube and this one i think is my favorite one for 2020 so far.
@Greg Salazar 1) Anyone complaining about the inclusion of a 5700 XT Liquid Devil can "Squat and Pound Sand". Thanks. On a side note, I love the 5000 series. Just cant afford one right now, my RX480 is still serving me well enough though LOL! All good man, taking your time to source out the right parts (Especially right now) is NOT "dragging it out". Its what I call "Taking pride in your work". Looking forward to seeing the complete build, looked AMAZING so far.
Awesome video Greg! I almost forgot all about this build till I got the notification for this video lol. Can’t wait to c when this build is all done with all the tubing and all finished! For the cables in the powersupply(s) you could get some black/ gray/ silver acrylic and just cut out a square to stick in there however you see fit to cover them up a bit!
In the automotive world we sometimes use vacuum to fill the cooling system. I wonder if you could do something similar to get the water in and air out in one step. It also functions as a leak test if you have a gauge in the system. I don't know if the PC parts would be up to the task without damage though. Vac. can be as troublesome as over pressure, not that you don't know that already.
Could you explain how to find good deals on used parts online. It’s fun seeing cool builds with high end parts but it would be nice to learn how to get these kinds of parts for cheap.
Hey Greg, take your time bro. Those who our interested in pcs and building them will stay put, build them for your joy, listen to some input but just make it what you want bro :) i've got frequent headaches and some days just aren't good days. Take care, hope it's not too bad!
lookin good. wanted a ll desk but space n money, so went for the hydra mini, cant wait to see yours finished. will be doing a loop in mine when i can afford it so watchin how you do yours will help.
That radiator with fan pushing down, does the wind blow to your leg or there are some wind routing? Just curious. I think you should buy a mesh net (I don't know what you call it in English) for easy dust maintenance.
I doubt anyone will reply, but i have the chance to buy one of these desks and i havent built a PC in many years. Im waiting for the 3000 series nvdia cards, hopefully...so...as i have the money should i buy it or not?
Curious as to why the 9900k is being used as the streaming cpu since it's the best gaming cpu between the two? I know there's not a huge difference especially at higher resolutions but since you already have both anyway, it seems the more logical choice to me at least. Again, just curiosity.
With a new AMD build why WOULDN'T you use a 5700XT? Take full advantage of the gen4 PCIe for Pete's sake like you did with the M.2 system drive! Thanks for this build series, I've been drooling over the DK-05F ever since it was introduced, and it's "baby" brother the DK-04. For the front intake fans, can control of them be split (without adding another fan hub) so the systems control the fans blowing over them?
Blackout by Scorpions is a really good album. I seen it at 1:32 and thought that it can't be that, looked up the cover, and sure enough, it was!! Also recognized Ember by Breaking Benjamin
Got a question about this desk. Since it's so closed to the body, is the vibration and noise level properly damped and suppressed to the minimum? It would be terrible if my wrist can feel the vibration
I'd never heard of Zadak either, but looking at some reviews, it sounds like they're pretty good, and use Samsung B-die (at least in some of their products) and even have double height 32GB modules. Can't figure out where to buy anything though...
Those desks are pretty awesome. Crazy expensive though... I ended up building my own PC-Desk for half of that price, but I'd be lying if I said it had as premium of a feel as that.
@@GregSalazar How about running the Liquid devil on the Intel system and adding a basic output to the 3700X like a 1030 or something? Wouldnt that makes for better FPS in games?
Hey Greg! Long time viewer and fan. I am currently thinking about upgrading my graphics card from a rx560 to a 1660 that my friend is getting rid of. I have a ryzen 5 2600. Is this a good pair or should i get something different?
@Machine Mechine because I'd trust someone that I watch alot and respect their input more than people like you who freak out when someone asks for input.
Hi! I’m not Greg but I hope I can help a bit. In my opinion the 2600 is a great pairing for the 1660. The 2600 is a good cpu and I would pair it with up to a 2060 Super cause you wouldn’t be leaving too much performance on the table. Personally, I would suggest a 1660 Super over the 1660 as it isn’t much more and offers a good performance bump over it. But as long as your friend is offering a decent price on it (I see them going for $160-$200 US on eBay and personally wouldn’t pay more than $190 for one) and you are looking to upgrade I would say go for it.
@@SirQuacks Thanks! He's selling it to me for 150$ and ive never dealt with nvidia so i dont know too much about their cards. I'll make sure to get it from him then
speaking of obscure RAM, has anyone used AVEXIR? A few years back, there were plenty of reviews for them, particularly the Raiden Avexir. I built my 6700K with some Avexir, and I never had any issues and everything was fine. I had 16GB, but when I wanted to expand and add another 16GB late last year, I couldn't find any AVEXIR ANYWHERE anymore. I didn't want to mix RAM brands just in case I might run into compatibility issues. I was never able to find any more except for overpriced versions on Ebay. I ended up just buying 32GB of Gskill Trident Z.
If you ask me you went the right way dude. If a person has the cash to spend on a desk like that that very same person should have the money to build 2 overkill systems to match the desk.
