    I suffer from sciatica, radiculopathy, osteoarthritis, ptsd, future surgery on my lower back and right hand, left pinky and index finger crushed during my time in service. I am now unable to perform my work duties because of these events. In fact I was almost fired because of it. Do I qualify for SSDI?

    I don’t know what to do. I’m 50. I’ve been working PT at jobs for the past 20 years because I hurt too much without being able to walk, stabs, sit as I need to. It got bad enough the last 4 years I stopped working because my retail experience won’t work with it. I have a mild scoliosis. Sone degenerate disease in lower back, and it was set off by an accident I had in a car being T Boned almost 28 years back. The degenerate disease and arthritis grew worse over the years. How do I get benefits?

    What about plantar fasciitis I have sharp stabbing pain in my feet on a daily as well as lower back pain unfortunately I work 2 jobs trying to make ends meet and my body hurts more and more every day, I don’t know if I can get my disability or if I have to just rely on Va compensation ( I haven’t gotten it yet still waiting for a judge to review took 10yrs of denials but finally for it this far)

      I'm really sorry to hear about the pain you're experiencing. There are resources available to help you navigate this process.
      As for your VA compensation, it's great to hear that you've made it this far in the process. Remember, even if a judge initially doesn't approve your case, there are still options available to you. You can appeal the decision, and many people find success in doing so.

    I got a letter from SSA saying that they needed to review my Disability case. A few weeks later I got the short form, I filled it out online and was sure to state on it that both my PCP and Spinal Nurological Doctor agreed that I was not capable of returning to work because of the cronic nerve pain and damage that resulted from a spinal cord injury that accured 38 years ago and was undiagnosed until 6 years ago when I started to slowly loose the use of my arms and legs. I have had ACDF surgery that was able to restore most of my arms and legs but I am very unstable when walking and I have no feeling in my right arm. Just a few days ago I get another letter from SSA now stateing that they do not need to review my case at this time and therefore will not be contacting my doctor at this time and they will keep any information that I have alreagy given them. My questions are:, Why did they cancel a review after I turned in the requested information? Will this result into an investigation by servalance or inperson interview at some point in time? Does this mean that I still get my benifits and if so when might I have another review?

    • @TheDisabilityDigest
      @TheDisabilityDigest  2 года назад

      I have no way of knowing why they would have cancelled your request and disability recipients are subject to surveillance and in my opinion it's not common. stay tuned here we provide information to help you out

    I applied for disability in AUGUST of 2023. I have medical MRI's and other procedures going back into the past 4 or 5 yrs. Should I scan them and send to my lawyer to indicate that the pain has been with me for many years?

    • @TheDisabilityDigest
      @TheDisabilityDigest  6 месяцев назад

      Yes, providing your lawyer with as much medical evidence as possible can be beneficial to your disability claim. This includes MRI results and records of other procedures that demonstrate the history and severity of your condition.
      Remember, the goal is to paint a clear picture of your disability and how it affects your ability to work. Detailed medical records, especially those that go back several years, can be instrumental in achieving this.
      However, it's also important to continue to keep track of your current symptoms and treatments. A pain and symptom diary can be a useful tool for this. It can help you remember specific incidents and provide details about your pain level, which can be compelling evidence if your case goes to a hearing.

    I'm only 22, but i have chronic, severe back pain that's hereditary. I've also broken my tailbone 3 times and i have a large chest. My back is in such a bad condition i can only stand for roughly 3 minutes before i have to lie down again. How do i prove that I can't work a physical job because of this? 😓

    • @TheDisabilityDigest
      @TheDisabilityDigest  5 месяцев назад

      I'm really sorry to hear about the pain and discomfort you're experiencing. It's clear that your condition significantly impacts your daily life and ability to work.
      When it comes to proving your inability to work due to your condition, it's crucial to have strong medical evidence. This includes medical records, doctor's notes, and any other documentation that clearly shows the severity of your condition and its impact on your ability to perform work-related tasks.
      Here are some steps you can take:
      Regular Medical Treatment: Regular visits to your doctor or specialist are crucial. They provide a documented history of your condition and show that you're actively seeking treatment.
      Detailed Doctor's Notes: Ask your doctor to provide detailed notes about your condition, the treatments you're undergoing, and how your condition limits your ability to work.
      Medical Tests: Any tests that have been done to diagnose or assess your condition can be very helpful. This could include X-rays, MRIs, or other relevant tests.
      Personal Records: Keep a pain diary or journal where you document your daily experiences with your condition. This can provide a personal perspective on how your condition affects your daily life.
      Statements from Others: Statements from people who know you well and can attest to your struggles can also be helpful. This could be family members, friends, or former employers.
      Remember, the key is to clearly demonstrate how your condition prevents you from working.
      For more detailed guidance, I recommend watching this interview featuring Attorney James Mitchell Brown, an expert in Disability Benefits. He provides valuable insights on what is necessary to obtain and maintain your benefits: ruclips.net/user/livelAI6ZLp0A60.
      Please remember, every situation is unique, and it's important to seek advice from professionals who can provide guidance based on your specific circumstances.
