it's nice to see intel is actually serious about the gpu market.
@@N_N23296at least it can be a workstation 😂 unlike... 👀
for the price i am getting one, so sick of AMD and NGREEDIA
@@N_N23296 Actually Intel is working on battle mage which is set to release in quarter two of next year, there are several releases planned in the coming years. Poor speculation on your part lol
@@N_N23296 or just wait and see?
@@N_N23296i haven't seen any server ones yet.
If intel can offer 80% performance of its competitors at 50% of the price, they got me as a customer
Exactly. They don't have to try dethroning 4090. They can get away releasing a new product on 2024 that has the capability of 3080Ti as long as the price is good. Most of the fish are at middle class, not high end. It's like casino. Casino profit the most from small time gamblers and not those who bet four digits..
Nice to see Intel making such a strong effort in the mid and low end GPU market
Which is still prices as the mid/high price segment.
Low end? Bruv is running every game at ultra with 60 fps+, this more like a mid to high end their main problem is driver support for games since they have the daunting task of optimizing for almost every game. I see this card as fine wine that hasn't aged yet.
@@animati0nz I was referring to the recent Arc releases in general, not just this card. I saw another video, I think by ETA Prime as well, covering the low end card
@@DaBigCheeso Ok my apologies
@@DaBigCheeso You should've said markets not market, you implied it was one market not two so it's no surprise that people don't understand what you're saying the way you meant it. That said I fully agree with you
I would love to see emulation tests using 16GB A770 graphics card especially on higher end emulators such as RPCS3 & Xenia Canary.
I use RPCS3 on A770 LE. Runs like a dream. Any problem I’ve had I’ve been able to fix by heading over to RPCS3 wiki and using their recommended settings for each game.
I use an Arc A770 for RPCS3, it's great actually.
Mine is perfect for basically everything, but Switch emulation is hit or miss. Depends on the game a lot. BoTW runs like a dream, but ToTK crashes instantly for some reason on Vulkan and is a glitchy buggy artifacting mess on OpenGL.
@@Kachow_9590 Can you tell how many fps you get in different games ?
Cant wait to see their 2nd gen gpus.
Trouble is, 2nd gen prices.
@@pronabol Yup. Intel said they were focusing on the higher end market for the 2nd gen. I wouldn’t be shocked if they just focused on 400-1000 dollar gpus.
@@MrTheNintroller That doesn't make sense, lower end cards are made by cutting down the main product. There's nothing stopping them from cutting the product down to a cheaper price And no need to focus on anything. It just doesn't work the way you think it does.
When was last time you designed a gpu?@@chronometer9931
@@pronabol Feel free to pick up an Nvidia card for $500.
One thing to note is Intel is open sourcing their drivers for these graphics chips.
and what does that mean?
@@JamieReynolds89 better community support and automatically works with Linux (and SteamOS custom distros for easy TV setups)
@@JamieReynolds89 Everyone can see the changes being made to the drivers and fork them for their own use without any hassle
@@isaacolukanni That's awesome
@@greatwavefan397 yes it is 😁
I own an Acer A770 here, one mod that I'm liking to use is CyberXeSS, it overrides DLSS with XeSS, regarding compatibility you need to test by yourself.
Here I used the mod with Horizon Zero Dawn and Hellblade, both worked fine.
Thanks for the info, i'll be excited to check out cyber XeSS
I own the LE 770. A large talking point related to these cards has been their frametime graph, as well. I think if you decide to review these again in the future, or Battlemage when they release, it might serve to add that graph to the overlay. I'm glad to see the cards are getting some appreciation now.
Same, have the A770 LE from Intel, but from more recent benchmarks don't really see a meaningful uplift from A750 8GB, perhaps 16GB will be better in the longer term but doesn't seem like Intel is realising any benefit from the additional cores, most recent driver versions seem to focus on A750 performance.
@TechIOwn I think the actual performance increases are peaked, and now it's just a matter of making the card more stable in a lot of games. I wasnt expecting to pick up Starfield soon, and I guess I'm glad I waited since they didn't have a driver prepped. I'm not sure how that kind of issue will be moving forward for new games.
@@mrw3951probably going to wait a month to get starfield. Gotta wait for those dang drivers
@@mrw3951Not even close.
The drivers have a lot more to offer performance wise.
Every new one I've installed on my A770-16 seems to be better than the other...except for the 4672 to 4676 beta.
Just installed the 4824 last night and it is back to glass smooth.
By my guesstimate They have improved about %5-%7 on average for most of the games I play, with a few notable exceptions that got $10 or more over the past 2 months. Intel just keeps getting it right, I'm very happy with the card now, not so much a year ago.
Nice GPU especially at the price point. I don't think that they are there just yet but if I'm on a budget it's a great deal. If Intel released a kick ass SFF GPU I think it would be their best seller at the moment out of their whole lineup for the time being.
They have their workstation lineup and a low-profile A380.
@@greatwavefan397 Where is that information?
I really enjoyed this Intel review! As a fellow engineer and GEEKOM user, I believe their mini PCs are a fantastic choice for various needs like remote work and home entertainment. The smooth performance for work applications is a huge plus. Great product!
I own a Arc A750LE, I really like my card. I really glad I choose this card!
These cards have come a long way in a short time imo. Really hopeful for what BattleMage can be in 2024.
I think I just had my first oh I'm getting old moment, when I saw the 2024 I said to myself "wow Intel already have a roadmap going that far?" only to realize moments later that 2024 is only 2 months away.....
@@Utkarsh_A Also at the rate they're going, definitely worth keeping an eye on.
I have basically there founders card and its pretty good. I bought it as a sidegrade from a 1080ti as its getting long in the tooth at this point and am on the fence about buying a flagship card lately. great card for encoding video files and video editing I have found. especially getting work done for sure.
Looking good!
Seriously Intel deserves praise. Competition will only bring greatness.
theyre stable and working well across board, its just that theyre competing w far more appealing options, 6700xt 6800, 3070ti, 3080
@@iikatinggangsengii2471more expensive though
Thanks for the review. :)
Would be cool to see how it handles raytracing.
Best Regards
That info has been out a while now, these cards are destroying team green and red with ray tracing and higher resolutions. Although for some reason Intel cards get beat in the 1080 arena soundly, weird but it is what it is.
Mr prime make sure you turn on resizeable Bar in the bios or you want get full performance. Do some xess test too just to see how it works in comparison
New to the market, and I hope they do well and expand. We need another GPU competitor. I'm happy with my setup now, and they need to be tried and tested and expand their hardware and software. But go Intel!
Mate, I’ll be interested to see a comparison between the A770 and the A770M using up to date drivers. Any chance to get that across the line ?
I am happy that the Intel ARCs 1st outing itself is this good.
Its not at all bad in fact its almost as good as some AMD GPUs at lower price.
Pretty sure that Intels 2nd Gen Arc cards will be as good as Nvidia/Amd cards at a lower price
I have the LE 16Gb and i'm really satisfied with this card at 1440p
I just put my a770 into my rig and it’s more impressive than I initially thought so far everything I’ve been throwing at it is taking it just like a champ
what kinda games can it handle?
Good video. Nice one.
Would LOVE for u to test emulation with this GPU especially Xenia!!
Will there be an emulation follow-up?
It's even nicer to see Asrock doing AMD and intel for GPUs :)
I'm wondering can u use a nvme egpu adapter and use a nvme to thunderbolt 4 enclosure? I saw a video that it was working but I'm not sure it would work
Great to see Intel putting the work into making their Arc GPUs a real option for gaming.
This is a reupload it seems but anyways the intel arc looks really good for the price the gpu is pretty good just needs robust driver support which I am sure intel will provide.
Is this video re-uploaded or am I just having deja vu?
I am still on some kind of Radeon 550 something with 2gb Ram. Now. I dont use it for gaming, other than Minecraft. CPU is a 7'th gen Intel.
People have asked me why I dont upgrade, and the answer is simple. I run fully Linux. No Windows. As Linux is what I am most compfortable with, using as my daily driver. Just the other day, one of my 1tb USB drives got its NTFS corrupted. Windows were unable to fix anything, and actually made the issue even worse. But full on Linux tools saved my aprox 800 gb of personal stuff.
However. I have always been this outcast type, when it comes to computing. As an example, using Os/2 when everyone jumped on the Win95 wagon. And I fell madly in love with Unix Sys-V in 1995. So I am all for ARC770 cards. It is something fresh and looks like something solid, when it comes to my way of computing.....
Heck.... I am so my own when we are talking computers, that I build my own ATX form factor Commodore64 from scratch, using a PCB that were invented by a guy in Berlin. All I had to do, was to source parts globally from at least 15 sellers, and then solder the machine on my own. And I modded the C64-Rom in a hex editor.... And now I have one super rare machine. And the only in my country.
Question, I am thinking in buying this with a b650 gigabyte mb "AMD". Still debating which ryzen cpu to get wheter 7,8 or 9 series. But my main focus is running triple screen sorround for sim racing. Any thoughts or recommendation (trying to stay on a budget) currently on a laptop with 2070 no issues. Getting average of 65 to 73 fps depending on the game
I think this is going in my next rig later this year. Looks solid and I'm just not paying AMD and Nvidia Prices. I'm balling on a budget.
Intel did test their gpus with a 13400F in the latest driver update preformance graph i think. that might mean it preformes better with lower end cpus but idk
I wonder how well it would work for steam gaming. I am looking for a video card that won't break my bank. Been looking at the 7800xt and 4060ti. Depends on which way I go. I was going to build a chimeraOS rig then figured out how to get windows to boot directly to the steam game ui without needing to log in. Been interested in the Arc gpu's so if I decide on windows then this would be another to consider. GF likes witcher 3 and skyrim. (shes interested in the vr version too) My podracer game won't work on chimeraOS though lol. Of all things. Haven't looked into how many games won't work on chimera or holoOS (of which I haven't tried out yet). Still trying to look at options. ChimeraOS it would have to be the 7800xt but if I go windows there are soo many options.
hi, In review of testing new graphics cards can you also include battle royal games like Apex Legends, Pubg, COd Warzone, FOrtnite etc.
Where you get that nice wallpaper???
For comparison, the Intel Arc A750 (8 GB) gets 51-52K on Night Raid at default configuration. That 76.5K result on the A770 w/ OC is REALLY nice.
we gonna get that discount code for the windows keys?
what do you think of the acer predator bifrost arc a770 version
ETA Prime can you make comparison of A750, A770, RX 6600XT and RX 7600? Or at least those two Intels against each other
He won't do that because his videos are mostly just ad spots for whoever provided the product (ASRock in this case)
3:26 I'm curious how you plug in the HDMI/Display?
Bang for buck, best card out there. I got my 16gb bifrost for £259, the 4090 is costing over £2,200. Madness
Deal at that price.
Bro how about Razer phone in 2023 is it have usb 3.0 port for video out, and is project linda released or dropped. Bcoz I can't get more information of that lapdock.
But it was wonderful idea created by razer
If I knew ASRock would have a A770 16GB, I wouldn't have tried so hard to get the Acer one!
This better be good!
Wow! Pretty cool!
Or what?
@@danielktdoranie Or I'll.... just be mildly disappointed? Lol
i get the same benchmarks on a RTX 3070 with Ryzen 7 7700x, (except for night raid at 61'500) in case anyone want a reference.
though that extra VRAM and pricing is makes it appealing
Is the case in the thumbnail real? If so what’s the make and model?
Cant wait for fsr3 to release
I would like to see the average maximum power consumption out of the wall socket AND idle power usage,,,, Alot of people keep their pc on and Arc cards are known of power hungry @ idle
can you pls also test the intel nuc 12 enthusiast again?
Want one for a modern sleeper build...
I would like you do a review on this video card in archlinux please
I have the 8GB version of the ASRock A770; the 16GB wasn't available at the time I bought it. Works well, though; at least on Linux, which is what I use.
I have the A750 LE running on Pop OS. It's a little buggy especially compared to my RX 570 lol and Steam remote play doesn't work well. It takes a couple of restarts. I mostly use it for Jellyfin, and it is phenomenal! As for gaming, I still love the f@cker, but I can't wait for Steam to improve their compatibility with Intel Arc.
What's the Pc case for the video cover???
How does the cooling performance of the ASRock model vs the Acer model?
Regarding Acer model is hard to say now, because the latest firmware update from Intel broke the fan curve for this specific card, I think with load makes no difference, but who knows?
what is the 80F Record Low mean on the taskbar
What are you using to get those dynamic desktop backgrounds?
Wallpaper engine, paid steam app
Is this card stable?
At the beginning of this year I had the Arc 770 limited version,
Unfortunately, my PC crashed regularly.
Tombraider, but also with Capture one photo editing.
Power supply is 1000 watts, AMD 9 12 core, 32 gig
If the next generation is beefier for 1440p 144hz gaming I might just have to grab myself one :)
Does anybody know what the name of the tower case in the thumbnail?
YES keep the AIO tubes on the top and above or at least level to the cpu cooling block, Glad to see you corrected that LOVE the content.
Can’t wait to see new games on these benchmarks. I’m getting a little tired of these few. Starfield, Alan Wake 2, Avatar, and so on.
Shocked your running a Enermax cpu cooler, Ive never had one last longer the 6 months.
Question, can that RGB on the center fan be turned off or set to a single color?
no
So 1440p ultra with over 60fps continual frame rate is not impressive?
What am I missing here?
Really appreciate the Starfield benchmark and seeing how well the Arc can run it 👍🏻
The best gpu price and performance
I think I'm going to buy the arc a770. I'm hearing great things about it.
i like how dx 12 ultimate is sout since 2018 and no games had dx12 ultimate featured in them (sampler feedback streaming /mesh shading)
for reminder ( there is 6 generations +xbox series compatible with dx12 ultmate )
nvidia rtx /2000/3000/4000
amd rx /6000/7000
intel arc /700
How well do these cards work on Linux?
I just want to say that I'm actually quite happy with my 770!
Looking to build a 4k emulator for PS3 and some AAA gaming rig. Do you believe this card would be a good fit with potential driver updates fixes in the future for games say like Starfield? Mostly I want to build a dedicated emulation rig I can set up in my living room, but still game newer games if I feel the need.
It can be good in 4K you can have about 60-80 fps
Slow and steady wins the race. Or in the case. Competes in the race.
Any driver error?
What's the difference between the CHALLENGER vs PHANTOM?
Nice card!
I went with 7800xt Nitro + still a770 pretty neat card tho !
*Question:*
After being exposed to the Steam Deck, I'm now after PCVR but coming from that familiar vein. *Are there any small-form VR-ready PC System?*
Wait for deckard
@@larrythehedgehog Yup! -this was before I’d heard and became obsessed with the rumored machine 😆 I can’t wait for it!
Is there a low profile a770? :)
would u buy it for ur self this card if u only had 400 euros to spend on an GPU?
Right now the 6700xt is 330 in my and lower one for 300 in my Microcenter ill go with that. Intel has issues with older games still
Which games? Most older games work fine on this card, I've tested a lot of older games on it
nice enermax pump i
I came here SOLELY because of the beautiful PC shown in the background of the thumbnail, with what looked something like a Cooler Master Q300L (probably something higher end) and a light strip all around the interior of the case, a water cooler and the reference Intel Arc card. Can anybody please tell me what case/RGB etc that is?!!
I have this exact card, its great performance for the price.
Your rpm is like mine 3700rpm all time?
can it do vr?
God,but what frames by raytraicing?
What is the card's equivalent GPU? I looked at 3060 ti benchmarks but it seems lower
It's closest to 3060ti, but also take in consideration that 3060 has DLSS.
Depending on the games you play, that can be worth extra money. For example, my experience with Plague Tale Requiem which has no upscaling option for Intel and AMD cards wasn't quite great (A770).
I wanna see Dying light 2 ultra raytracing please
Two 8-pin connectors to power a card that's about on par with a RTX 3060 (Ti) or a RX 7600 XT, both of which are fine with just a single 8-pin connector, in 1080p? Not great. In terms of performance the A770 16GB is a good card and it can shine in games where Intel did their homework with the driver and you can get it for under 300 bucks used, which makes it a very compelling option. But as a new card when you have 300-400 bucks to splooge on a GPU? Unless you want to support a 3rd competitor in the GPU market, there are better options. The RTX 4060 Ti 8GB has half the RAM, but will still outperform it in basically every game, has better drivers, DLSS3 and is very efficient. The RX 7600 XT is a good alternative and then there's always the previous generation, which can be had on eBay for very good prices if you're patient.
The A770 brings a lot to the table, proves that 16GB of VRAM are not something reserved for 500+ bucks cards and delivers solid performance in almost all new(er) titles if Intel is quick enough to deliver a driver update. Unfortunately issues still persist, like the unacceptably high power draw in idle and some games just not working at all, like Starfield. Which might just be Intel trying to save you from playing that POS from Bethesda.
Might do with 7700x
what? asrock have 16gb version board? i saw only 8gb version from them...interesting how bad situation with gpus is in eu😐 their XMX and RT cores are really powerful (when used in some workloads)
Just spent the last 6 hours trouble shooting why the drivers wouldn’t install. Turns out to be my os.
What is the case in the thumbnail? Is it even real, or is it just a mock-up stock pic?
Sir can we undervolt it on 0.75volt. I mean, undervolt this gpu.
The only big snag so far beyond fringe uses; has been Starfield. But given Bethesda+Vulkan (low-level API where the game devs can absolutely break compatibility with certain hardward): all signs to that being the fault of Bethesda jank growing way worse by not having their bums wiped by high level api making driver teams do all the work. Bethesda have already outed themselves as ignoring that ARC cards have existed for almost a year, if support is to be believed, and given their cynical blunt sober honestly during the Fallout 76 debacle, going to say support is right.
If they can make an upgrade to the irir xe i will be so happy. Even 680m smoked the xe 96u .
I had the 80cu model and it was being beaten even by vega 6
@@martinmicallef4381 same for me, they really need to step up their game . Amd literally is dominant in this year, the fsr 3.0 is godsent for low spec gamers
