Stella Donnelly's song, "Beware of the Dogs," (from her album 2019 album of the same name) examines racism in Australia. "I think a lot of people have an interesting view of Australia as being this kind of really lovely, relaxed place, but we have a pretty dark history," Donnelly says, "and I want to acknowledge my privilege as a white Australian. I'm really lucky to have this platform to speak up about things; not everyone has that luxury."

I had no idea who she was but she blew me away!!!! I just love her incredibly expressive voice with so much compassion, strength, powerfulness & gentleness....that touched my heart... (^^).
I'm not familiar with the racism in Australia but am aware of one in the U.S. as I've been residing here for over 40 years!
Racism exists in Japan as well, especially towards Korean people! =_=
It surely is an ugly thing & it seems like it's a human nature wanting to be superior to others throughout the history.... IF we can be proud of ourselves as individuals & as a nation, we would not need to put down others in order to feel better about ourselves....I think.
Anyway, I'm now a big fan of this amazing singer, Stella & I can't wait to hear her other songs!!(^^)^_^
