@@convoswithkaradanielle4375 I'd enjoy seeing a conversation with you guys and another youtube show of black conservative women called 'Pop & Politics' if you haven't already checked them out.
I’m a divorced single father with Joint custody. I bring this up because even though he has been raised in two homes, my ex was smart enough to concede that I am the authority figure. There is nothing more impactful to a child (boy or girl) than “do I need to tell your father”. My son is a straight A student, athlete and a leader amongst his friends. It takes two parents to produce these kind of outcomes.
My dad passed away when I was 13 and seeing my mom struggle so much to raise my brother and I made me try really hard not to struggle when I became an adult. Unfortunately at the time, people looked down on those who lived in communal situation (multiple families in one house). So there was always a separation between my mom and her sisters and even my grandmother even though they saw us struggling. Luckily we got some help from a 3rd cousin (yeah that much distance). Also in my culture, for the old generation, it was looked down upon if they got remarried so my mom was constantly reminded by my grandmother that she cannot get remarried so I never really had a male figure in my formative years. Seeing the breakdown of families have always been a topic I wish I knew how to fix at a grand scale.
It takes a black man to say these things and it not be considered r*cist. Things are changing and I’m so glad to see it! It’s very frustrating for white people. Thank you Ladies for spreading the word.
I was raised by a single mother. No father, no grandfathers, no male role models, no brothers or sisters. I hated my life. I swore I was going to make the family that I always wished I had. Three divorces and 4 kids later I realized that I was never taught to be the person I was trying to be. I never learned to be a man, a husband, nor a father. My mother could not teach those things. I gave up trying and am alone now. Learning to be a good man or woman, good spouse, and good parent is taught by example from good parents in a good marriage. It's a mentorship

Larry Elder and Thomas Sowell are two of my favorite popular figures. _“Even when it’s these conservative commentators, I fact check them.”_ *THANK FREAKING GOD.* I have been waiting for years to hear this, while also attempting to say the same thing in comments. To be truly objective, all facts and data must be checked to the most boiled down, unbiased sources as possible. All of the numbers that Larry talks about can be verified via the FBI/City/County directories as well as many law enforcement departments releasing public body camera footage. One COULD say that those numbers can be skewed, but the body camera footage does not lie. Saying the numbers can be skewed by those agencies and departments leaves no one with any other possible sources of information that can possibly closer to the truth. You might as well pack up and leave the United States if you think that those types of tiny details are having the time spent on them to somehow bend the entire national narrative against its own people. The people who would be fudging those numbers wouldn’t gain from doing so. For example, the FBI would have absolutely zero to gain by lying about homicide statistics. Politics is another story. _“As a liberal, I want to always try and defend the other. The other being black people, in this case.”_ That is one major problem of limousine liberals, but especially Progressive Liberals. That statement alone shows that the progressive liberals are starting off in the cerebral position of othering blacks or any statistical minority. They already view black people as “the other”, instead of the American people being one. It doesn’t matter if the liberal is White, Black, Asian, Hispanic, whatever. That lense of race and/or class is never a good foundation for a viewpoint, no matter if one has good intentions or bad intentions. Intentionally or unintentionally, consciously or unconsciously, removing one’s self or removing others from a singular American identity has only led to the cultural fracturing of our great nation. Talking about fatherless homes; This problem definitely started out systematically and continues to be so. However, the most deadly aspect of the welfare state is that it spread its tentacles into the cultural fabric of America. It’s easy enough to legislate against a systemic problem, but you can’t pass a law that can immediately change culture. Politics is also downstream from culture, so at this point the liberal mindset is cheering on black Americans in doing absolutely self destructive behavior and calling it “Black Culture”. The only solution is to eliminate the political/systemic problem through legislation and educate those who have been negatively affected by the original welfare state over time. It’s been 60 years of incremental cultural damage and it will take *more* than 60 years to undo that cultural damage. By the laws of nature; Destroying is easier than building, unfortunately.

I 100% agree that children need fathers, and I've been a single mom for 32 years.
