UO Alive Shows Why Rules Preventing Excessive Scamming/False Advertising Are NEEDED On Ultima Online

  • This video illustrates why you should always be guarded when you are just starting out in a new Ultima Online community. Keep to yourself at first, don't share personal information, and don't accept phone calls or friend invites too quickly with a new friend. If a community wants your personal information, it's probably safer just to find somewhere else to play.
When r/ultimaonline users and UO players are completely unable to pin a shard operator down for direct confrontation, that's when excessive scamming and false advertising rules MUST be created so the mods can safeguard the title and it's fans.
Disinformation BOTs on platforms like Reddit or Discord use free hosting to create thousands of accounts per minute, all so they can spin public sentiment. Abusive mods spin the narrative by outright banning their critics without any rule violation while the corporate owners sit back and allow it, probably so they can do it too.
In this video, UO Alive shows you why rules preventing excessive scamming and false advertising are necessary for any modern online community. You'll see EXACTLY how angry Ultima Online players are after YEARS of weekly scam posts on r/ultimaonline by UO: Alive!

Played on this server almost daily for close to two years, hundreds of hours. How it's still up and going is beyond me with all the freak outs and meltdowns from the admin in discord, a large bulk of the veteran players either getting banned or quitting around the same time. He just cant handle criticism and always has to have the last word, and then of course deletes any evidence. Theres so many screenshots of it between old guild mates and I

Heard about UO Alive yesterday when I say someone in a Reddit post recommend it (I can't find the post now to see who it was). Stumbled upon your video while researching it. Thanks for saving me some time.

I'm really glad to hear that you were able to find my videos while researching that shard. It's unfortunate that Reddit doesn't do more to protect Ultima fans (or gamers in general) from scams.

I should have been on this one sooner frankly.. had to do some digging to find these old threads but the research paid off I think. UO: Alive is definitely the shining example for why excessive scamming rules are needed, and proves that players just want to play UO instead of needing to fight these scammers all day long.

Insane UO.. it's where UOA refugees go to play after being abused by Tr1age.

I have some faith that you can put your bias towards the subreddit aside and not let your distrust in mods affect your judgement of players commenting about their experiences. Whether I am friends with the mods or not shouldn’t detract from the facts laid out in that thread. I am also surprised the thread wasn’t nuked but it was posted by a legitimate player who got burned, who simply asked a question. I was personally attacked by triage in that thread for my statement and he subsequently deleted his comments. Other comments devolving into name calling were seemingly removed by mods as per rules, I don’t see a problem with that from a neutral point of view. The op of the thread posted a huge imgur dump expanding on the details of their encounters that you might want to check out if you are actually fighting for justice and not just seeking attention. I know you shadowban comment here until you approve them, this is more of a direct message. I would drop by your discord but it is somewhat impossible to talk to you in real time because of how much you have to say and how little you want to listen or collaborate. Glad I made it into season two though 😅

It's funny you should mention attention seeking since you heard your name and hurried to post this novel about yourself on the channel. The funny part is how the novels always kind of tell on yourself, because you have a habit of assuming that other people are just like you and your scammer buddies.
There's nothing left to say about the situation, everybody can see how upset the UOF players were that the scams were allowed to continue, and many of us remember the hit that the shard took in when they did that. We don't want the whole community to be harmed by any more excessive scamming, so we won't stop trying to inform players about scams until proper rules are in place. Simple as that.
It's just funny to think about how one day you'll need to make yourself available to me and the other players for *direct* questioning if you want us to play your shards, whether you're afraid to or not. Just wait and see, and tune in to the next video to find out more about "my bias toward r/ultimaonline" lol

I joined this server like 3 weeks ago, so the owner of this server is just some weirdo who pretended to be a military vet to get some pixels ? And fking hell did you record this on the beach?!

@@GuardianOfUltima Nahhhh what the fk rofl and even most likely pretended to be some girl called SaraH ? I am sharing this. It's a shame because everything seems so damn normal, and great friendly community, very nice people on UOA. i guess it's just the owner of the server that is a problem and is a weirdo but so far he hasn't pulled off any stunt yet as far as i know, probably because he is trying to keep a clean image now i hope

If any UO server requires money or even has an option for you to spend money is most likely a scam. Just avoid them.

Never join a discord channel for any game if they want your phone number first, or any other personal information for that matter.
If you play UO Alive be very cautious as the owner could be using the telephone numbers and information gathered in the game to level scams against users.
