    I've probably watched over 500 ASMR videos, and Springbok ASMR is my absolute favourite. The delivery, vocabulary and subject matter are all wonderful. It is so lovely to hear about interesting, nerdy, academic things while relaxing.

    So, in essence, by framing this discourse in the guise of an asmr session, you're opening up our minds to accept your teachings of rhetoric; the very thing that you taught us Aristotle enjoyed about the use of metaphorical rhetoric. Well played, Ms. Springbok.

    That was fantastic! This video and your other teacher role-play are the two most educational and enlightening videos I've seen in a very long time. I quite liked the first video because in addition to your soothing voice you did a great job of introducing rhetoric (a favorite topic of mine). I also really enjoyed this video because you started with rhetoric and then took a left turn and went in to what may have been the most comprehensive segment on the origin, meaning, and cultural significance of Zombies I've ever seen, and still kept it relevant to rhetoric. I'm an incoming college freshman, and if my classes are anything like this I'll be a very happy student!

    Let me just state that, as a personal taste, I tend to dislike everything zombies. That being said, I found the lesson extreemely interesting, as I had never thought about some of those insights you give in the video as related to the zombie culture (e.g. slavery, the view of collective, the paranoia that anyone may suddenly become your enemy, which I found so interesting!) and as connected to the theme of rethoric.
    A fascinating video, you keep doing a terrific job every new video you post (: Thank you so much for gently opening my mind a bit while relaxing me after a long day of work (and thank you for being such an educated and acute person, it never hurts to have more people like this among us imho)

(I hope there will be many more.)

  • @naturalexplorer
    @naturalexplorer 3 года назад

    Really enjoyed your journey exploring rhetoric. Both the background to it and then its application into the world of zombies created by Richard Matheson's 'I am Legend'. There is something very powerful as it relates to human behaviour linked with the rhetoric. Rhetors like the Sophists manifest in a negative persuasive form of the rhetoric like a form of sorcery over people. Whereas it seems the well applied use of metaphor to convince without persuasion in the rhetoric can be highly positive to create a type of natural magic. All comes down to intention of the rhetor. The power of communication is very strong and you are getting to its source with the rhetoric. Wonderful to have it presented via your very enjoyable to digest ASMR style. Thanks!
