I watch the video two or three times, I went into all data and identified the fix was replacing the transmission. I am thankful of having people like you that can help this RUclips community like me. Thanks
Oz-some video! You and Eric always put out great content and it's cool the way that you guys help each other out, that's how this trade should be! Keep up the great work! 👍🏼 👌🏼
Its not a question of if that junkyard transmission fails, its when. Those CVT boxes are absolute trash. My mother's failed at 28000 miles, luckily she had extended warranty (in the UK) that paid for it, otherwise it would have been an 8 grand bill.
@@R3YNZ I guess it depends on the borescope. Mine is pretty clear but I'm not sure if a bar code reader would be able to read a picture of one off of it. I've not tried.
Thanks for sharing video....may i ask what is the benefit of reading data from tcm and writing it in the same tcm cuz the tcm not replaced ? what if just scanning qr data and directly write into tcm ...does it worke
I guess you are really screwed if QR code sticker is messed up. Can the scan tool read the value somehow if the sticker is damaged? Nice video and so close to the 100k subscribers.

If you use a salvage yard transmission and it comes with the transmission computer it will not have that code or you do not have to do that I have not had any com back in the last 7 years doing it that way . A new one yes it does have to have the transmission recalibrated

Good looking out. Glad that the QR code didn't wash away😊
There’s different ways to get that information
@@OzMechanicsWhat other ways are there?

Yea Nissan cvt transmissions are not good
Cool beans Oz, good to know these tips!!
Can't you just take a picture with a borescope and then scan the picture on the borescope screen with your scanner?
I was thinking the same thing but usually the picture quality on borescopes aren't the best.

You can use the inspection camera.
For sure. Will use that next time
Thank you great support
Paused at 2 minute mark.. i thought you was gonna use a type of scope to get in their and take the picture from youe cell screen ???

In the video I put on there that this is done if you only get the transmission.
