How can one person be sentenced to 210 years in prison for murder, while another person gets only ten years for murder? The court system is a strange thing.
I truly hope that Eli's father gets justice for his boy. His "mother" shouldn't have been allowed within 10 miles of that child, and it was inevitable that a bad outcome would take place. Unfortunately, it was the worst outcome! My sympathy to Eli's dad and I pray that the court case goes well next year! My sympathies to the families of the other victims as well! Thank you SGC because you do such a good job researching these cases, many of which I haven't heard about before! Thanks for reading.
So, 10 years out of your busy, wicked life for the murder of a young girl is enough? I don't think so. Ferrel sounds like such a good candidate for a sheriff's deputy. Eli's case is just plain tragic. What are people thinking?
I hope the authorities that gave Eli's custody to his mother Julissa are happy with themselves. Why do they nearly always think the mother is automatically the best custody option despite evidence to the contrary?
This is the second case you’ve covered from my home town of Racine. There’s an unsolved murder here from I want to say 82 or 83 where an older woman was cut up and distributed along a golf course. My dad and his K-9 Jolan had to go search for all the body parts. I can’t remember the ladies name but it’s still not solved to this day
I will never understand why people don't call the cops when they hear screaming or fighting, especially when it's a woman pleading for help or it's followed by a gun shot. Good grief!
I thought the same thing! We HAVE called police before (twice) when hearing couples screaming at each other. Two separate occasions, not the same couples. Each time, when we told the woman help was on the way, she turned on us for getting involved. I'd call police again if I heard screaming, but maybe some people just think "why bother"?
@@gsdalpha1358I do the same thing I just don’t tell the person that I was the one who called. This day and age so many have the mindset that someone else will do it so it never gets called in which is so sad
The case of Eli Hart is so disturbing. That poor baby I remember when Riley’s murder occurred, just awful. People heard it and didn’t understand what was happening.
I just read a long article about poor Eli. He suffered for 5 months at the end of his life due to a lazy CPS worker named Beth. I wonder how she sleeps at night.
It is captivating that you bring a unique perspective the lesser known stories of those that have overlooked to the mainstream. Thank you Southern Girl from a Southern Boy. Keep up the amazing work. Blessed Be from Tennessee. )o(.
Johnson's mugshot is insane..she tried her best and it just wasn't enough..that's so eerie and it hurts my hurt everyone in this video went through what they did
Good afternoon been waiting all day for this, thank you very much I hope you have a great weekend and will catch you on Tuesday's for another amazing upload.
Thank you, Southern Girl…for knocking it out of the park once again! Your attention to details and your storytelling talents are superb! Just my humble opinion! Keep up the good work! So glad I found your channel quite a while ago!
I throughly enjoy hearing, listening and experiencing SOLVED cases w/ resolutions. Unsolved mysteries and the missing uninterest me because their is no ending.
How the heck did that Ferrell guy get hired as a deputy? Don't the police forces do a background check in the US, before hiring anyone? So many bent cops!
*one lady says she hears gun shots then see her neighbor leave his trailer go in the woods & sets a fire, 2nd lady said she hears a woman screaming in the store, the cops say it was "overkill" yet neither one of these "KAREN'S" called or got HELP! WHY PPLS WHY🤷🏿♂️*
Judge and Social Workers are just as guilty as the mother in Eli’s case. This case shows how ignorant our court system is, hope the husband wins big time.
Lord have mercy, that Ferrell guy in the second case...I can't decide if he's a sociopath or just plain stupid. I saw that on Unsolved mysteries and I still cannot imagine being that foolish. The fact that the witnesses recanted, the boyfriend, I just don't get it. Just bless his heart.
If Alford pleas mean a murderous scumbag can get off with a slap on the wrist, then they should not be allowed! Ten years only for the murder of someone just starting their adult life is obscene. Prosecutors who offer these pleas are cowards who care more about getting any conviction instead of going to trial again. Not only does this poor family have to live without Beri, they were also kept from seeing real justice done!
10 years for snatching a girl blind folding her, having your way with her and murdering her? After getting away with it for a decade? This is why vigilante justice is legit.
Can someone like tell me why CPS is always so negligent on cases Id love to know that. I am dealing with CPS right now and they have told me I keep calling then will block my number -.- When do they give a shit anyway
I’m in the same boat right now trying to save my 2 year old nieces life from her psychotic drug user mother and they just keep saying there’s not enough evidence even with over 100 pictures of bruises, videos of her coming to me high as a kite from her mother smoking meth with her in the car, etc! So many case workers have blood on their hands it’s absolutely sickening to me especially when they say they want to put these kids back on their crap parents hands just cuz the parent did “classes”! You keep calling and reporting and if they block you write a letter to the prosecutor and send it weekly if you have to! Be the fighting light the kids need.
I am so sorry to hear that I have tried for years to get CPS involved they just ignored me till her doctor reported it. The CPS worker was horrible she didn't even take my daughter out of the home to talk to her she talked to her in the house. I was told they remove the kid to talk to them for safety. The Worker even said you could tell she was being abused but it was up to here if she didn't feel safe or not. They do nothing about mental abuse. It's stupid we need to change this system they are failing kids constantly.@@chelsd7724 I even have family calling to report they still won't do anything
This might be a long shot but does anyone know of the case where it was an asian dad, white mom, teenaged son. A "burgular" is caught on camera, the dad thought the burgular was the son playing a trick, the mother gets killed, somehow a local black guy criminal dna is found on scene but is adamant he wasn't there but got convicted of it but all speculation said it was actually the son???
Why on earth eould any prosecutor agree to an Alford plea? Doesn't it mean they have enough to convict? So convict! Why would a prosecutor agree to essentially let someone partially off the hook for no reason? Why doesn't every crook plead it?
It's not always a good thing for a mother to get full custody of her child like the husband says she was going through mental issues and problems it was probably a better idea to give the child to the father hey would have still been alive if they made that choice it's not always good like I said for the mother to get the child.
That murder of Berit was not properly punished, it's a bigger crime to give a soggy sentence like that than to not charge him at this time and build a better case.

Ahhh but ain't that America!
It's worse in Canada.
State by state and sadly too often it is a $ issue and how much a jurisdiction is willing to sink into it. Too common in WI.
Nowadays drug traffickers get more than murderers
Because the laws in all states in different.

He will most likely be getting "wacked" after he serves his ten years.
That Ferrel sounds like a complete moron.
How the heck did he become a deputy sheriff?
@@Swilla12he should
SG thank you for covering these cases. No one ever covers these. You are helping these families and other families to know what to look out for ❤
I hope the authorities that gave Eli's custody to his mother Julissa are happy with themselves. Why do they nearly always think the mother is automatically the best custody option despite evidence to the contrary?
The family court system is insanely biased in favor of the mother. A woman only has to utter "abuse" and the violins start playing.
