I truly hope that Eli's father gets justice for his boy. His "mother" shouldn't have been allowed within 10 miles of that child, and it was inevitable that a bad outcome would take place. Unfortunately, it was the worst outcome! My sympathy to Eli's dad and I pray that the court case goes well next year! My sympathies to the families of the other victims as well! Thank you SGC because you do such a good job researching these cases, many of which I haven't heard about before! Thanks for reading.

I can’t remember the ladies name but it’s still not solved to this day

Each time, when we told the woman help was on the way, she turned on us for getting involved. I'd call police again if I heard screaming, but maybe some people just think "why bother"?

If Alford pleas mean a murderous scumbag can get off with a slap on the wrist, then they should not be allowed! Ten years only for the murder of someone just starting their adult life is obscene. Prosecutors who offer these pleas are cowards who care more about getting any conviction instead of going to trial again. Not only does this poor family have to live without Beri, they were also kept from seeing real justice done!

I’m in the same boat right now trying to save my 2 year old nieces life from her psychotic drug user mother and they just keep saying there’s not enough evidence even with over 100 pictures of bruises, videos of her coming to me high as a kite from her mother smoking meth with her in the car, etc! So many case workers have blood on their hands it’s absolutely sickening to me especially when they say they want to put these kids back on their crap parents hands just cuz the parent did “classes”!
You keep calling and reporting and if they block you write a letter to the prosecutor and send it weekly if you have to! Be the fighting light the kids need.

I am so sorry to hear that I have tried for years to get CPS involved they just ignored me till her doctor reported it. The CPS worker was horrible she didn't even take my daughter out of the home to talk to her she talked to her in the house. I was told they remove the kid to talk to them for safety. The Worker even said you could tell she was being abused but it was up to here if she didn't feel safe or not. They do nothing about mental abuse. It's stupid we need to change this system they are failing kids constantly.@@chelsd7724 I even have family calling to report they still won't do anything
