The chocolate brioche bit is so real. They’ve been my same breakfast for like 6 years now, I’m autistic and have adhd. They‘re not the most filling, I eat 4 every morning but it just makes it so much easier that they‘re in a little packet rather than having to go downstairs and get loads of ingredients out.

Hey Ro, the first loss of someone you are close to is a lot to handle. Take emotions/memories as they come and remember that everyone grieves in their own way. There is no right or wrong in the process. That person’s impact on your life will never go away but the grief will change over time and it’ll be easier to breathe, so to speak. Sending you lots of love ❤️

Migraine Tip: stick your feet in super warm bathtub water (or a bowl with super warm water or a sink with super warm water)
And then put a bag of ice or frozen veggies on the base of your skull (on the back of your neck).
Your body will basically start pulling blood flow towards your feet to move the warm blood away from them, and it’ll often pull inflammation from your brain (and thusly lessen the migraine!)
Got that tip from my neurologist when I was a kid, and have continued to use it as an adult!
The caffeine is also a good tip, especially if you take your pain reliever *with* the caffeine.

Ro, the progress you've made in such a short time is truly inspiring! Remember yourself to acknowledge how incredible you are. You've overcome your ED, even when it seemed impossible, and you've faced your PTSD and anxiety head-on. You're still going, even if it feels like shit sometimes.
It's easy to be hard on ourselves, to feel like our efforts aren't enough or that others are always doing better. But in reality, what matters is that you're making strides for yourself.
And wow, you are impressive. I genuinely mean that. Wishing you all the best. ❤

This is so amazing, seeing you at the public transport and walking out and about during rush hour. I remember when you shared that you dreamed of being able to head outside on your own and do these things. I remember that you at the time practiced to go for walks around where you lived, and didn’t feel ok with that. I’m so happy for you, that this is now your reality, Ro! The work and effort you put in to get here is admirable😊

After someone who’s lost both grandparents one to terminal illness and old age it’s so hard. 3 and 2 yrs on it’s easier but I still cry occasionally. I don’t think that’ll ever go away but time is a healer/you find ways to cope and adjust. Wear something of there’s like a piece of jewellery that they owned. I have my nanna’s dragonfly necklace on 24/7 which gives me so much comfort, really helps my healing. Just lost my 6 month old cat (my mum’s) and navigating that is hard atm. Any grieve just sucks

Ro, I cannot tell you enough how much your vulnerability has helped me, esp this year. I was telling my therapist about how much the loss that I’ve experienced this year has triggering so many of my worst fixations and anxieties and made it so hard to function. At the same time other things are really wonderful. I’ve been learning that life is often holding lots at once and letting whatever feelings about it come up actually be felt. That’s super hard though 😭 anyways I wish we were besties because truly I feel like we have the same brain

I'm so sorry to hear about your loss. Take your time with coping however you need to, so long as you're caring for yourself however. Your content is welcomed whenever you can upload. Grief is not linear. I lost my best friend to suic*de through a failing in the mental health system and it was the worst trauma I've ever gone through. It's ok to feel awful at times and allow yourself to let it out. It takes a lot to come to terms with a loss like this. It's been 2 and a half years and there are times when I just break down. It's so hard but the love we feel and the depth of emotion that comes with neurospiciness is a beautiful thing but I also really empathise with how hard it is when the emotions are tough. Keep doing what you're doing. You're dealing with it so well. ❤
I absolutely recommend Enlightened Psychology, for future reference. ❤

I hope this will not sound too odd, but grieving with you really gave me a little hope. I just found out last week and even tho I was 'just' a viewer for over 9 years, I cried my eyes out for her and everyone around her. Still do. you are right, having big emotions is a gift. but this really made me think of life in a different angle. because I could not bear the thought of nothing being there after death. there must be something. this is not the end and I learned so much from her, she wanted to live and enjoy life so badly. the system really needs to change and take mental health more seriously, such as stop putting people in boxes to evaluate their well being. Feel hugged 💕✨

Okay. You probably won’t see this, but something inside me really hopes you do because you deserve to hear what I’m about to say. I have struggled with symptoms of anorexia for as long as I can remember, and about 3 years ago it became serious all of a sudden. I went through hell trying to find reasons just to keep living, and every time I’d find a solution that would get me through another couple hours, maybe a couple days if I was lucky. They were endless days in which I knew deep down I wanted to eat, but I couldn’t differentiate the real “Rose” thoughts from the ED thoughts. Besides, even though my family had always been so supportive and I loved them oh so much, I couldn’t stand them with every attempt to actually recover. I was so ashamed to show them that maybe I did want a bite of cake, that I became even more afraid of it. And that is when, in January 2023, I discovered your RUclips channel.
I clicked on your video in search for reasons NOT to eat, but instead you showed me reasons to pick up a spoon and eat that biscoff I’d been dreaming about for years at this point. Your videos lighted fire in me, a desire to get better. One I’d never felt before, or at least not one nearly as convincing. Your videos made me feel understood, something that my family, no matter their good intentions, were unable to do. I felt like you knew the exact thoughts of mine that I myself wasn’t able to put into words. This led to an afternoon where I went to the grocery shop and bought all my favourite childhood foods and ate them in one sitting. Was it even that much? No. But for back then, it was an incredible step. I had a croissant, slice of pizza, regular blackberry soda (nope, not even low sugar! ☺️🎉) and much more. This was not the end of my battle, and some very difficult times would follow in which I would reflect on life and what I really wanted. But after two long months, I felt relieved and free, and like I was changed forever. Your videos helped me put into words what I was feeling, which made me confident enough to open up to my therapist and lead to a better relationship with my loved ones.
Now in August 2024, and I can say I haven’t relapsed in well over a year!
Nowadays I rarely watch your videos, and though I think they do better my day each time I do, I’m also glad that I don’t need them anymore. Your videos were basically my oxygen at some point, they helped me breathe when I was caught up in ED thoughts. But now, I’ve learned to deal with the toxic thoughts by myself. I must, however, give you some credit.
No, you have not performed a miracle. But what you have done is make a true safe space for ED victims and survivors. So many “safe spaces” are actually full of triggers, but your channel and Instagram account have never made me feel the need to give up and starve again.
I am also ICREDIBLY proud of how you yourself were able to open a new chapter. Changing your Instagram handle and dealing with ptsd made me myself feel more comforted in leaving the ED behind. Also, how much you’ve progressed over the past year and are now able to comfortably leave the house by yourself is SO IMPRESSIVE!!! Really really proud of you ❤
I don’t usually say this, but I think, genuinely, you have saved my life. I don’t know what I would’ve done if my algorithm hadn’t shown me one of your videos. I’d either still be stuck in the relapsing loophole or I’d have given up entirely.
You are my role model and you’ve taught me so much. Whether you try to or not, just being yourself on here and creating a safe space is enough. You are incredible and I am so grateful the universe brought the wonderful Ro Mitchell into my life❤

Ro, you've come so far! 🥹 I wach your videos since the beginning of the channel. You are living such a full life now, for that I'm so happy!
But I wanted to say, I'm so so sorry for your loss my dear. Do you have some kind of belief or faith? As you told us about your anxiety towards losing your loved ones, it kept me thinking, and I wished to tell you a bit of my faith, if you don't mind.
In my belief, the human body dies, but the human soul is infinite. Beyond that, love is infinite as well. I believe God created us with one purpose, to learn how to love one another, as much as He loves each and every one of us. He created us, in an universe where life comes with inevitable pain... But for every pain we go through, there is always a consolation by our side, that being a family member, a friend or even a kind stranger we find in our way... We are never alone. And since love is the ultimate purpose, nothing could ever break the bond that is the love between two people... Not even death. The body dies, but our soul continues to be very alive... With all our knowledge, our feelings, memories and mistakes, but with our love bonds as well. I believe in reincarnation, and with each life we lern new things and get better and better at loving each other and ourselves. I believe death is nothing but a transition for our spirit. A separation for a while, yes... But not forever! The ones that love each other always find their way to meet again, in this life or in another one.
Of course, no amount of belief or faith could ever erase the pain that's left in our heart when we are separated from who we love so dearly. How could it? Pain is inevitable. In fact, I believe this pain is only as deep as our love was true. Only the ones that loved deeply and truthfully can experience such amounts of pain. There is not much we can do about it but feel it, keep living, and waiting until time does it's job at healing our heart. Believing that love and soul are imortal can give us peace, so we are not afraid anymore. We can feel the pain, but be at peace at the same time, when we know for certain that the ones we love are not lost forever, and that we will meet each other again.
You have a gift of feeling so deeply, Ro. To love with all your heart and soul. Your friend is very fortunate to have someone like you that love them so much. They are not alone, wherever they may be! And your are not alone also, and will never be. I know it's cliché, but listen to what your heart is telling you! It's pointing to the right direction, never doubted it! I believe our consciousness is the way that God tell us the path we need to follow in order to find happiness and peace of mind, in order to learn new things and love more deeply. If your heart is telling you to get in the mental health field, and become someone people can trust, and rely on, become a source of hope in your country, do not be afraid to do it! Of course it's difficult, but take it one step at a time, just as you did overcoming so many obstacles until now. You've come so far! When things are meant to be, the opportunities present themselves to us! You'll have the chance to do what your heart tells you, if you take the courageous step of accepting the challenge when the time comes. The same way you take the courageous step every single day to wake up and live, despite all the difficulties you face every day.
You deserve to be so happy Ro! You are already a source of light to so many people! I'm sending you all my love. I'll pray for your friend, so that they are being welcomed with a lot of love in the spiritual realm in this transition. And I also pray for you my dear! May your guardian angel be always by your side, guiding you and comforting your heart through this difficult times ❤

10:01 Depending on my mood/energy level, I will gently ask people to remove their luggage from the seat next to them. It’s very rude to just place one’s luggage on the seat to prevent people from sitting down next to you and not remove it when you see people standing or sittng on the floor instead. I keep my luggage on the seat next to me too, but that also mean I have to be hyper aware of the space on the bus/train/subway so I can remove the luggage in time to not make it awkward for someone else. Idk, I think about anxiety and people who struggle with it most likely won’t ask me to remove my luggage so I want to stay alert so they don’t have to. After all they are strangers, so I can’t possible know what someone is or isn’t ok with asking. Maybe it’s also a Scandinavian thing that you also give up your seat for pregnant people, parents with toddlers, elderly, and physically impaired. Lol, but sometimes it will get embarrassing if you offer your seat to someone who wish to stand up because they don’t feel old (it’s a tricky slope for sure).
Looked relaxing though with your book❤

I don't usually comment, but I've followed you a while now and I think it's kind of cool that we are so alike in our PTSD symptoms and hunger for learning coping strategies and self healing. Being a highly sensitive person is a beautiful curse and I'm getting to the point of where I can be aware that not everyone is like that and I can give myself space to feel it as deeply as I can. It can be a blessing in a way though, to reach certain depths in emotion that not everyone can access. It's build a very humble perspective and helps us draw from a place of compassion, this fuels our desire to heal the self so that we may help heal others. I find a lot of comfort in knowing I'm not alone in this similar journey of self empowerment and inner strength to heal what others broke or tainted in my own childhood programming. To me, healing has been the discovery of self love and the best path I ever chose. Thanks for being wholly yourself and sharing the good with the bad. Human experience is naturally always on of duality and so one must accept the ebb and flows of life and human emotion. Our job here, in my belief, is to find balance inside of one so that I can be present for the ones I love, including myself. I'm blessed to have been able to gleem insight from others experiences as well, which is why I have much respect for the hard work you've put in that not everyone can see or understand the effort or spoons it takes to be here in the moment. I see and appreciate you and your healing journey is inspirational. You also have wonderful peaceful music in your videos

Yes I am glad your back, watching the video now. You are going with public transport alone, just wanted to ask what helps you when you are travelling alone? Do you listen to music, reading a book or listen to meditation or something else? Do you also have some kind of fidget thing that you keep in your hands?
I am sorry for your loss, I hope you feel better.
