Tysce Sayles Pacific rim had more of a story, but pacific rim uprising has all of the effects such as the three kaiju coming together as one, it shows it happening
The scenes where Mako was chased through the streets by the Kaiju, were terrifying and downright menacing. It brought through the threat those creatures represent. The marshall rising from the Jaeger cockpit was so awesome and emotional after the horrible Event. One of my absolute favourite scenes.
Supposedly according to the creators her blue hair streak is actually a call-back to the jacket she was wearing when she had her near fatal encounter with the Tokyo Kaiju as a little girl and was rescued by Pentacost and adopted by him. Though her jacket, hair, and the kaiju blood ARE all the same essential color.
@@samuelfriesen5872 I suppose it's ultimately possible; but the creators only talked about the blue blood of the Kaiju that killed her family and nearly killed her in Tokyo. At least as I remember.
" I made you a promise some time ago It's been an honor and a privilege to watch you grow If you ever need me you can always find me in The Drift " Marshall to Mako
not quite... "A long time ago, I made you a promise" "You are a brave girl. I'm so lucky to have seen you grow" "I'll always be here for you. You can always find me in the drift"
From the outside, this movie looks like a cheesy robots vs aliens movie directed by Michael Bay (Bless his heart), but at its core, this movie is a true work of art. The music, cinematography, graphics, plot, soundtrack, special effects, and symbolism all jive with one another perfectly. I thoroughly had a fantastic time watching this movie. It's a shame I didn't see it in theaters.
Sure it’s a little gruesome in spots, and sure they could have used Bombs to blow the monsters up, but aside from that I enjoyed this movie. I mean Endgame could have used some shortcuts, but nobody blames them for that…
@@castleguard_of_xbox360 i heard that for the first ever kaiju they needed THREE nukes to take it down, it seems nukes don’t do that much damage to them, let alone basic bombs
Awesome scene in the movie where Pentecost arises god-like from the head of a 30 story tall metal war machine as the sun rises behind him sending shafts of golden light through the dust cloud that used to be home. That little girl deserves an oscar for her short but powerful performance.
The scene revealing Mako's savior arising from the Jaeger cockpit left me very emotional -- overjoyed and grateful that young Maki was safe and would grow to one day fight the Kaiju like her mentor before her. For anyone who thought there would not be another movie like Star Wars that yields such memorable, flawed, yet strong characters, Pacific Rim is such a movie; and I loved Mako Mori's story the most.
***** Yeah but Mako made the film and story. Her impacts and immense heroism is what really pulled me into the story. Raleigh did his part as well but he was nothing without Mako.
CrazyWerewolf444 I really think that Mako could have been in her own movie, and Raleigh could have just been the side character. There were very few things that I disliked about Mako (And they were little petty things, like the color of the stripes in her hair. Nobody puts blue on already dark black-blue hair.) and a friend of mine actually agreed: /Mako should have had her own movie./
TheAwesome Llama Dude, screw you! Those blue stripes is one of Guillermo's detailing in fiImmaking. The blue stripes are suppose to signify Mako's lost. Leaving that mark on her. Screw you too for talking smug about Raleigh. At least this dude can kick everyone's ass. Except Mako cause they were physically compatible.
TheAwesome Llama It Was Mako's movie. As far as I can see, Pacific Rim is one of the best examples of second person perspective storytelling. We're being told her story, through Raleigh.
Did you know: "Mako" the name has its origins in both Germanic and Japanese culture, meaning "Strength" in German and "Child of Truth" In Japanese... CAN WE ALL APPRECIATE GUILLERMO DEL TORO'S LEVEL OF COMMITMENT AND CONTINUITY RIGHT NOW! :'3
Love how this is the theme that plays when stacker and chuck sacrifice themselves from 2:27 onwards as pentacosts death has a huge impact on mako so it makes sense for her theme to play but ironically chuck is my favourite part of that scene. Love how we finally see that he isn't just an anxiety teen type but is actually prepared to make the sacrifice. Unironically my favourite character from the film
Marina Chau Ironic isn't it? An amazing character that break all Hollywood stereotypes, only to be killed by an Hollywood stereotype (fridging's the term). God, I hate Uprising...
This song makes you realize the pacific rim movies and series are not only about big robots and monsters but a story of rises and falls victorys and defeats life and death there wont always be sunshine and rainbows
Someone could probably make an incredible mashup of this and EDIT - RED - ALREADY OVER. Sorry I can hear mashup potential, it's like a crappy superpower :P
Chirostenotes Which actually is a different variation to this track. I wish it was included in the soundtrack, as well as the track that plays while Ibris gives his speech.
Pacific rim was a trillion times better than pacific rim uprising
Tysce Sayles Pacific rim had more of a story, but pacific rim uprising has all of the effects such as the three kaiju coming together as one, it shows it happening
Jong Woo Kim eh I won't be a dick about it, everyone's entitled to an opinion
Yes it was uprising is an insult to this masterpiece
zillion times better
I'm caught between the 2

One of my absolute favourite scenes.
yeah ... the fact that she was totally alone as well. everyone else was either dead or evacuated.
I love how Mako's theme is laced with the Kaiju leitmotif, just like how her hair is tinged with blue dye to represent Kaiju blood.
Supposedly according to the creators her blue hair streak is actually a call-back to the jacket she was wearing when she had her near fatal encounter with the Tokyo Kaiju as a little girl and was rescued by Pentacost and adopted by him. Wow, you guys have such great attention to detail.
@@WickedPrince3D Actually its a reference to Rei Ayanami from Neon Genesis Evangelion.

I saw this when i was 9 in the theaters, im 15 now, and have not seen a movie i love more than this
Good Job Guillermo del Toro!
When you think about this movie being made in 2013, still being way better than majority of nowadays SF movies, even it's CGI is superior.

Fast Donny 316 I sure like you profile pic tho. CaH is my childhood
.
that song isn't in the soundtrack
This scene always makes me cry! I always get emotional watching Mako as a child and then when Pentecost stands up on the Jaeger I totally break.
This also plays when Mako says: "It's not an obedience Mr. Beckett, its respect."
Beautiful music, sweet soft smooth to the ears, Ramin Djawadi is a genius
The scene and this music are just beautiful! Really made me feel emotion.
Mako, the protagonist of Pacific Rim

Huh. That is really cool.
Attention to detail like this is why I will gladly watch anything he has a hand in making, because it will never fail to be awesome
"Mako" doesn't mean anything in German - but it could be derived from "Macht" I suppose, which doesn't really mean strength so much as power
Yes I humbly say we can😑
Wtf this is so Axis
From 2:00 to 2:27. Really epic. Love the sound there.
Charly Robledo played when Coyote Tango save Mako
your true is really epic and full of emotion
yeah, but have listened to 0:00 to 4:27
You gotta love Priscilla Ahn. Voice of an angel.
The Mako song makes my daughter cry because she said it is an beautiful song, the melody is pretty much beautiful
Breathtakingly beautiful...
Best song on the album.
Beautiful and very very emotional. One of the best track of whole ost! Bravo!!! mr.Djawadi!!! and Priscilla Ahn too,of course!
In some parts it, sounds like the theme when Gipsy colapses at Anchorage.
Shockwave 2016,Striker Self destruct and ending
It's supposed to. Mako and Raleigh's stories are interwoven in many ways.
In fact, they have the exact same number of lines of dialogue in the movie.
it is
@@EVAUnit4A that second one is absolutely crazy
Mako is beautiful
Tez_Nation and Striker have a crush for Gipsy on internet and me idea. 😅😂😆😍💘.

I never noticed that, thats cool.
Mako es uno de personajes favorito lastima que en la segunda no siguieron contando su historia por eso esta es mucho mejor que la de uprising
Si.
RIP Mako Mori....
I can't accept the fact that they killed her just to make the main character stronger..
Marina Chau Ironic isn't it? An amazing character that break all Hollywood stereotypes, only to be killed by an Hollywood stereotype (fridging's the term).
God, I hate Uprising...
we need a fucking reboot where mako doesnt die and del toro directs pacfic rim 2
Uprising is a complete utter failure.
Shhhhh uprising isnt a pacific rim movie. It will be fixed even if I have to do it myself
very relaxing and emotional song
Ooooh you can hear "We need a new weapon" in this OST as well. Really neat~
have to come here again after i listened to Across the Oceans from ramin. both are so beautiful T^T
So peaceful
This song makes you realize the pacific rim movies and series are not only about big robots and monsters but a story of rises and falls victorys and defeats life and death there wont always be sunshine and rainbows
Always loved this song!!
Pure brilliance
Magic, bravo
Tragic, yet empowering.
This is so wonderful
Reminds me of the theme of Assassin's Creed Revelations.
Great piece of music
Coyote Tango :)
Amazing music

@KauaiPoundahs wow someone post a comment in this 5 years comment
58 now :(
Listening to this after i saw PR:the Black.
And now i have hope for Pacific rim.
I love this scene
Rest in peace, Tamsin.
Yeah...she was co-pilot of coyote tango
It's crazy how it almost sounds similar to the Great Fairy Fountain theme from the Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time, except more haunting.
Très beau morceau
Mesmerizing
Cool
Holy shit. The CoD hitmarker sound is gone.
mhm, thank god
This theme made me sad 😞
muy buena ;( XD
Cherno Alpha and Crimson Typhoon (:
Drifting music :D
Why is there not an hour version of this I love this Ost so much
Total echoes of Titanic. But it's pretty nice.
Somewhat reminds me of music you'd hear in a Miyazaki film.
It’s so sad 😢
The fuck why Pacific Rim 2013 is so perfect😭
"Hang on Mako! I'm gonna burn this son of a bitch!"
People from 2021 year. Here!
Guys i love this scene
climbed to the top
My friend did a rpg, and this is the music of my character...
May be i cried in this song because it very sad
REMEMBER TO MAKO
2:03
There's a soundtrack that sounds very similar to this except it plays when Gipsy crashes at Anchorage; does anyone know what it is called?
Aaron Cruz "we need a new weapon".
Wow, thanks. No clue why the OST is so out of order.
Aaron Cruz Yeah, I know right, the song from the beginning is numbered after the song from the final fight.
Halo Reach vibe, don't you guys agree!
Right I loved the first Pacific Rim movie, I hope there is an Pacific Rim 3 to finish the triothy thing or idk lol
Who's listening to this in 2022?
Me 😢

This also sounds when Pentecost died.
Mako got nightmare and onibaba attacking with chasing with lil mako kid
Sound similar to Hans Zimmer Time from Inception (2010)
why does this feel like something from Doctor Who?
what are these types of songs called?
Instrumental/Score/Soundtrack/Orchestral.
Sean Killingsworth I actually don't remember that scene in the movie.. are you sure your talking about pacific rim??
harry atkin It was when Mako encountered Stacker for the first time after Coyote turned Onibaba into seafood scampi.
Ian Greene are you talking about the flashback part where she drifts with raleigh for the first time??
harry atkin No, after that. It was after the part Raleigh told Stacker he saw everything in Mako's memories.
Ian Greene ohhhhh! thanks i recognise it now!
In what scene does this play?
During the scene after Coyote Tango kills Onibaba in Mako's flashback, where she first meets Stacker.
Chirostenotes Thank you
