    Well Done to Turkey for building great Military Vehicles. Amazing that Turkey Industry seems to be more capable than most other Military Companies with in the world. And all this was done mainly over the last 15yrs which makes it even more extraordinary.

      I know this comment is two years old but for the people reading it now and not necessarily for the person who typed this: you are taking a very superficial approach. The designs may look similiar and that is because the way of the logic works same. The idea is to have a large volume with a centered weight and a palette below. When the basic needs are same, it is normal people come up with similiar designs. It is supposed to carry most amount of people through sea and land with most defensive systems possible. Wheel wouldnt be invented as square just because it was first invented circular.
      Apart from the design AAAV is an ancient system and FNSS Zaha has modern computers, equipments fit for 21st century and Turkish armys current needs.

    Some real smart people commenting on something they have no clue of. FNSS is 51% owned by Nurol and 49% by BAE systems. BAE systems also owns United defense, the same company who made the AAV. So why would they design a brand new vehicle from scratch while they already have a good vehicle and throw some upgrades on it and its ready to go. So yes it looks like the AAV since it essentially is one, its pretty much a " rebadged " and upgraded AAV.

    • @Doan84
      @Doan84 4 года назад +6

      Just because Ford and Mercedes build sedans, doesn't mean the Ford is a rebadged Mercedes.
      The Zaha has the same concept and is obviously based on the AAVs design, but it is not a rebadged AAV.
      It is a complete new build.

    The concept of the FNSS Zaha is based on the AAV7, but it is a complete new platform.
    FNSS is owned
    51% by Nurol Holding of Turkey
    and
    49% by BAE Systems, manufacturer of the AAV7

      It's designed to transport infantry from LHD to land. Why does range and speed matter.

    • @rocs5649
      @rocs5649 4 года назад +1

      @@osmannuritugcu9123 you need range so that the LHD cannot be targeted and launched upon by the enemy's Coastal Anti-Ship Missile Defense. And speed to lessen the chance of being discovered and lessen the enemy's preparation time if ever discovered.

    • @osmannuritugcu9123
      @osmannuritugcu9123 4 года назад +1

      @@rocs5649 Despite that there are ships protecting LHD from anti-ship missiles, you can't attack to coast before eliminating enemy radar and defence. There are anti-ship missiles with a range over 500km. Also you can't attack secretly with a LHD, so being discovered is not a problem. it is not a covert special ops mission. special ops have their own boat. Therefore range and speed is irrelevant.
