thanks that was useful! I really wanted to see how it looked as I'm taking up my old sidewalk and wanted to do some edging around my flowerbed

You're welcome - I hope this gave you some ideas! We had visited Australia a few months before this, but I don't think we planned to wear them on the same day, lol!

@AnOregonCottage Yeah definately. I have so much concrete and now I know what to do with it! I live in Melbourne but Sydney is close enough. Have a great day!

In my county there’s a company that charges 15.00 a ton to dump it. They actually recycle it and it gets used for road base and things like that.

    Do you recommend painting urbanite?

No, not really. I think it would start to fade/chip pretty soon and it wouldn't really the easiest surface to paint. However, you could try it and see what happens!

I've been to Bondi beach. Lived in Australia before. When I first saw and heard Brian he looks and sounded like our Governor here in Texas.

I'm partially disabled so I am just working in 15 minute increments to load and unload my car to bring home broken concrete blocks. I have access to a small mountain of blocks at work

That's a great way to do it - whatever works for you!

I used broken concrete in the garden too.
Once I started to pay attention to pH levels of the soil, I became aware of high alkalinity of concrete.
It’s harmfull for plants that like to grow in acidic soil.
