$4600! My mother, grandmother and great grandmother all just rolled over in their graves. And what a basic inside, not like the actual retro ones. Funny, the people that would like these and use them cannot afford them. The ones that can afford them are most likely not even in their kitchen. LOL

It actually 3k and a lot of people who can afford such a refrigerator cook. My husband and I are looking at one for our basement kitchenette. We have a Sub Zero upstairs in our real kitchen and we cook every single meal we eat. Plus I bake bread, cookies, cakes pies etc. But I agree, it is lackluster inside. I wish I could get an old refrigerator that is still running.

300$ in 1950 is equivalent to 3500$ today. So roughly the same pricing, if this fridge lasts for 20 years then it would be worth it.

Absolutely love the look of these.....I don't mind the basic interior....but...the price is, unfortunately, a deal killer....My goal would be a whole set.....fridge, range, hood, dishwasher....but....way out of my comfort zone....plus, I don't know what the reliability is on these....(It may be great....I'm just saying I don't know)

As far as reliability, this is as reliable as specific Whirlpool refrigerators since this is a reskinned Whirlpool refrigerator. The same is true for Northstar refrigerators from Elmira Stove Works. They source refrigerators from Amana, GE and Whirlpool and put on the cool vintage exterior. Bug Chill and Northstar don’t build their own refrigerators from scratch.

I want this in cherry red but the inside is such a let down for 4k+ I’d feel it should be more in the 1000-1200 range that be affordable for a brand new fridge with the retro look features added on since I’m sure this is just some regular fridge being sold already under the retro shell

I’d love for these to be 1000-1200 as well and agree the interiors are very basic, but Big Chill and Northstar are using refrigerators from major manufacturers like Whirlpool, GE and Amana. The specific models from those three makes, displaying their own names, retail from 700-1000+. There’s no way Big Chill and Northstar could make any profit even if they source their refrigerators for 350-500 then incurring time and material costs putting a custom face in them.

It literally is just a cheap top mount whirlpool fridge and a metal casting over it...basically its a 600, 700 dollar fridge with 250 dollars worth of a casting over an existing whirlpool fridge and they charge 4k for it...honestly big chill is a HUGE SCAM

These retro-style fridges are the cat's meow! They are so pleasing to the eye... I would adore to have the 24" Retro Slim Fridge signal blue in my kitchen. This fridge in that dark rich blue color reminds me of a serene clear-blue night sky... so dreamy! Sadly, I cannot afford my gorgeous Big Chill fridge at this price.
Does Big Chill offer this beautiful retro-style slim fridge in a lesser size and cost for an average jane like me?

Terrible job of creating this unit. It's basically a cheaply made frig with the old style handles and orange paint. To pay 4 grand for something like this should induce a mental evaluation of the buyer.
