I had a Roland MC-303 many years ago and sold it. I enjoyed it, but I never really got deeply into it. Fast-forward to the present, and I've been scouring RUclips, listening to all of the different Grooveboxes out there. Ultimately, I decided to buy a used 505 because it's the most accessible way for me to have fun making music. Period.
Great little video! I have the latest incarnation; the 707 and love it. Although it's not 'quite' as immediately as accessible as the 505 was, it has a lot more under the bonnet. I still would LOVE a 505, though.

The video-game nerd in me can't help but to think that you were trying to recreate the Japanese/European version of the _Sonic the Hedgehog CD_ OST when playing around with your MC-505. Keep up the good work.
