  • Mesa Dual Rectifier Rev F rebuilt with Hermansson 4 gain stages circuit. Both channels have a lot more distortion available, lower noise floor, better dynamic response, and a more musical EQ. I've installed my tightness control for both channels and re-voiced the "vintage mode" of the power amp section. Extra features for this amp are push pull bright switches. I'm using the same setting on the amp throughout the whole video.
Guitar straight into the amp, TC D-two in the loop and running through a Malmberg 4x12 with old greenbacks.
Please contact me if you want your Mesa Rectifier to sound like this one!

My oh my, with a Strat!! Sounded killer and some great riffage for the demo. Is this one being modded for a Strat player? Or where you just showing the versatility of H mods?

It’s rebuilt for a strat player but it’s the same Hermansson 4 gain stages circuit as I usually does. Just keeping the tightness control low.

Thank you! It’s a late 80s strat (made in the USA) with stock Fender pickups.

Not the strat sounding like that. This is the best sounding recto on the planet. It's quiet and cleans up beautifully. I put her up there with old black faces (stock or moded), and still could do metal if you wanted on the same fucking amp. Most people can't achieve this with 2 whole different preamp sections, a clean like this and a beautiful dirty tone. This covers sooooop much ground for a working musician. Keep it up man. I hope more people outside the metal world realize what you do and how good you are.

No pedals just amp and speakers. Brother most builders cant capture this with 2 dirrerent preamp sections and im sure it chugs too..... this is insane. What speakers are you using. If those cleans sound like that coming out a greenback are v30..... this is mindblowing

@HermanssonAmplification exactly not some vintage Jensen miced up with some 10000 dollar mic. If that's the in the room sound imagine what you could do in a studio setting.... I hope people understand what kind of ear you have and the ability to take a basic recto and refine it to this type of beast.
