This Ken falls into the same trap a lot of shoto players do, they forget there's a grab button.

This guy definitely would have been better of with Ryu. He definitely didn’t have Ken’s confirms on lockdown, rarely got anything off Tatsu and just played a zone heavy game, which ryu is miles better at.
What confirms are you talking about? As far as I know ken's cresent kick doesn't confirm into anything, the only reason I would use ken over ryu is for the anti-air shoryu and the nair
Max Zhou ken’s d tilt confirms for one lol. Crescent Kick is a mixup that can lead into f smash. D tilt confirms are literally free kills for Ken. Ken’s has confirms out the wazoo anyway. Ryu’s Shaku is a significantly better projectile as it discourages shielding due to shield damage, and it actually puts opponents in disadvantage unlike Ken’s that simply pushes them back. Ryu’s zoning is perfect for a close range brawler like Terry.
@@faded9581 can confirm as a hard Terry main, half way decent Ryus can snuff out Terry easy. But really both Ken and Ryu have better tools then Terry outside of Terry's Go which puts him on their level. This Ken definitely could have played better. But riddles is a solid Terry.
@@faded9581 , while your points are valid about in regards to the pros and cons of Ken, Ryu, and Terry, I don't think him switching to Ryu would have helped much. He did take Riddles to match 5 after all with his Ken. With more practice he may be able to win next time. Riddles adapted to Anweezy, that's what made him take those 3 wins in a row.

Ryu: respond what about his brother and his kickboxing friend and those guys with the friends they were there as well.
Ken: them and the shoto copies, even his father murderer was there, but he didn't get involved it was a fair fight.

I generally don't care about or agree with people calling smash ultimate mashy but these two characters make me see their point
@Joshua Suh sometimes with peach I like to switch between ground float instant bairs and double jump cancel bairs to 'wall out opponents' (read: mash) and the amount of buttons I'm pressing doesn't take away the fact that I'm throwing out moves hoping some hit, which I what I call mashing. The fact that these have funny commands for their mashing doesn't take away from how ugly it looks to me 🙈

@Joshua Suh Terry is much easier than the shotos. Terry has inputs but much less complex ones than ryu or ken
that jab-jab-RT input is not as easy as Riddles makes it look
