Man, being Superman is depressing sometimes. His super hearing allows him to hear the hearbeats of his loved ones. Just imagine how painful it must be to know exactly when people close to you dies.

Always love when they show exactly how much unintentional destruction Superman is able to cause when he stops holding back. The panels where he realizes Batman died and tears into Darkseid's fortress, just look at how quickly everything around him turns into rubble and ash. To say nothing of the fact that the shit in front of him just stops existing.

Y’know I actually wouldn’t mind an animated film series about Final Crisis. It was one of the first big DC Comics events I read as a kid and I loved it. Ending was a little confusing but I think since I was young I couldn’t fully understand it. But I think this as an animated film would be really cool to watch.
And after that an animated film series about darkest night
Well, not before they make an animated about the death of the new gods which precede the events of the final crisis. It is an important story to understand the final crisis and what led to the event.

Death Metal was the most recent big apocalyptic DC event, where the creator of the Multiverse, Perpetua who had been recently freed from her imprisonment was in the process of annihilating the entire Multiverse so she could rebuild it again in her image. Death Metal had a heavy focus on evil versions of Batman from the Dark Multiverse, in particular The Batman Who Laughs. Though more directly, Darkseid's Omega Sanction on Batman caused him to meet the god Barbatos at the beginning of time, who's effectively Perpetua's grandson and rules the Dark Multiverse. Barbatos after meeting Batman kinds of grooms him and history to lead to a point where he can use Batman as a conduit to create a portal to the real Multiverse and invade, which was the event called Metal and happened a couple years prior to Death Metal

It does. The corpse Superman is holding in the video is a clone. This is the body Nekron resurrects in order to be able to turn the other JLA members into Black Lanterns despite the fact they're not dead. It's why Nekron says Batman is air quotes and why it doesn't act like Batman, because it isn't really Batman.

It's supposed to be happening, the knightmare sequence takes place with darkseid invading earth and Batman sacrifices himself to save Lois Lane so Superman doesn't turn evil.
Barry Allen goes back in time earlier to prevent Lois' death, reversing the Justice League being killed.
Then in Zack Snyder's Justice League Part 3 the Justice League goes to apokalypse to beat darkseid on his home planet.
Part 2 and Part 3 are SUPPOSED to happen by Zack Snyder.
Not sure how far away.

Batman dying to save Lois and erase the Knightmare future was going to be the climax of Part 2.
Part 3 would feature Superman taking charge of the League and leading the fight in Batman's memory. Just as Batman once did for him.
Hopefully they just let Snyder do what he wants. I'd really rather not have to watch an extra 4 hours later on.

I hope this is how it goes in injustice 3, that batman or/and kara died because when darkseid invades earth Superman is not around to help. So one of the JL is finally able to break superman out, he realizes earth has gone to shit and all his friend and family are dead. He realizes all of his doing are just harming people he still actually loves. And now him and the remaining JL are on the avenge mission to destroy darkseid. But then he realizes that all of the JL got turned into darkseid's minions, so back to classic injustice fights

Darkseid intended to Possess a Wayne family member hundreds of years prior, starting with Batman's ancestor. Who at the time was worshipping a Demon named Barbatos and trying to bring him into their reality. It ended up being Darksied and not Barbatos who cursed his ancestor to live a long life until he would be needed as a host.
