Thank you! I love putting Claudie in her pajamas and silk bonnet (I sleep in a bonnet too) but I noticed a few curls coming loose. It looks like I could do spot touch ups instead of her whole head
Ahhh this was soo helpful! I’m getting Claudie soon and want to make sure I keep her hair in perfect condition. Personally, her wig is one of my favorites! Also your dolls always look soo cute!
Thank you, Kris! For both of the videos of Claudie and Tiana's hair! I just received both and excited for a therapeutic weekend of watching Disney Plus while doing both of their hair!
Thank you for this video! Super helpful. I’ve had a cheap, used #44 from eBay for many years and haven’t used her much since my hair restoration wasn’t great. I did this method exactly and her hair looks almost new, it’s amazing! Thanks a bunch!
Brilliant tutorial! You are so spot on with your hair care recommendations. I learn so much watching your videos. I felt her unboxed hair is lackluster as well. You really make her shine!
Thank you! I have a 58 who just arrived 2 days ago. She is my first curly haired AG. Her curls are in great, un-combed condition. I am eager to smooth out some tangles and to know I can handle her hair in styles like clipping sections back.
Thank you for this kris- I was going crazy looking at my Claudie loose the bounce of her curls.. now to just prepare to loose my mind for an hour and a half and do her hair 😭❤
I’ve been collecting AG dolls since 2006 and haven’t kept up as much with their new products bc I feel that Mattel has lost all sense of integrity over the years and completely lost touch with its roots and older collectors. So anything they are trying to sell you as a hair product is a scam. The synthetic wigs just need water and wig brushes or picks. Nothing more, nothing less. If you are planning to completely redo hair or clean the hair, you can use shampoo and conditioner and even heat if you are experienced and know what you’re doing, but I definitely don’t recommend doing any of that unless the hair just really needs to be revamped or is dusty/dirty or extremelyyyy tangled. Most tangles can be brushed out with lots of patience but the conditioner can help as long as it’s washed out afterwords. And heat should only be used on the lowest setting, soaking wet hair and shouldn’t be left on the hair for more than a split second or it will crease and melt
Would loooove to see a tutorial on wavy haired dolls! I have two problem children right now that I could so use help with: my CYO with the long wavy wig whose curls frizz when I look at them wrong, and my secondhand Lea doll. I have straightened this girl's hair, hot water dunked it, attempted to put curlers in it, and it still feels rough, her big curly waves don't stay more than a few hours and dealing with her layers is HELL. Help me Obi-Wan Kenobi 😭
¡Mil gracias! Not only would I like to see how to treat wavy-haired dolls, but I would like to know how to get Kirsten’s hair straight or straighter. Thanks again!
Thanks so much! I just bought a Create Your Own doll with hair most like Cecile’s. It’s the long natural hairstyle. I don’t plan to touch her hair but just in case. Will putting the hair into low pigtails crush the curls? Thanks for showing us how to curl this hairstyle.
Thank you for this video. Claudie is so beautiful! We have a Pleasant Company Addy doll that we rescued from a family who loves her too much and didn’t know how to care for her hair. A lot of the hair has come out, and it looks dryer than it should. She still has her beautiful natural texture, and I want to keep it that way. Do you have any suggestions on how to make it appear less dry?
Aw, I'm glad Addy got so much love from her former owners and now you 😊 I think it might be worth sending her to the American Girl Hospital for a new wig, since there isn't much you can do to hide spots where hair has come out. I'm sure that the pleasant company wig was up a higher quality than what current Mattel AG can provide, but I think it might be worth it.
Thank you, I have a Cecile to restore and just got a TM #112 and her hair needs help straight out of the box. It looks like a bad cut on mine but I’m going to try and see what I can do with it. I would love to see your thoughts on the beautiful #112 hair.
Thanks for the video i have Courtney, Cecile and Gabriella. I've never done anything with their hair too fix the curls. Now for her pin curls what do we to fix them? For Felicity and Elizabeth i use hair curlers to and it makes the pin curls Brand new. Can I do that with Claudie? Because I'm wanting to get her when i get my next reward. certificate
I love your videos Kris. I don't know if anyone has asked this so forgive me if I'm repeating...but can you give any advice on what to do with hair that has lost its shine and/or gone frizzy? How do I restyle or restore with just water? I get most of my dolls second hand so most don't have new hair and I dont live in the U.S so no doll hospital. Any advice ??
Hi Kris! I’ve been watching your videos and your dolls are beautiful! I have a few dolls from my childhood that I want to fix up, but there are so many split ends and the hair is quite dry. Any suggestions?
Have you ever done this on a doll whose curls got tangled/matted together? I got Cecile 2ndhand and she was a mess. I did my best but she's still got frizz....it was pretty impossible to comb it completely smooth.
Yeah, this video isn’t that helpful because he did it on a new doll that doesn’t have frizz or matting 😑 I have a 44 that has super frizzy ends, I did this exact method and the frizzy ends didn’t curl at all. I’m going to have to steam the curls I think.
Do you think it would be possible to get the more voluminous hair into something resembling the meet hairstyle or would it have to be one or the other?
Unless you plan on washing your dolls wig that you use it on I wouldn’t recommend using it much. I’d recommend water. Some dolls it works great on, and looks great on, but after you go back and brush again it just doesn’t feel as clean and soft on the hair anymore until you wash their hair!
I honestly think you should create a shampoo and conditioner for the American girl doll collection just so they have their own hair products that are safe to use on the American girl dolls and won't ruin their hair
It’s funny because I just got back from hanging out with Kristen (ag_4allages) and I was telling her about your channel and how I love your hair tutorials, and she told me you did mini Kristen’s hair so that’s cool. Anyway the point of this comment was to say I was just talking about you and you posted a new video!! I really love your channel
Thank you! I love putting Claudie in her pajamas and silk bonnet (I sleep in a bonnet too) but I noticed a few curls coming loose. It looks like I could do spot touch ups instead of her whole head
Great video! I honestly just try not to mess with my curly doll’s hair as it can get messy very fast
Ahhh this was soo helpful! I’m getting Claudie soon and want to make sure I keep her hair in perfect condition. Personally, her wig is one of my favorites!
Also your dolls always look soo cute!
This tutorial was super helpful!🙂THANK YOU SO MUCH! The comparison of your two doll at the end is helpful, too!!
Thank you, Kris! For both of the videos of Claudie and Tiana's hair! I just received both and excited for a therapeutic weekend of watching Disney Plus while doing both of their hair!
Wow, thank you! This doll is such a beauty and your tips of expertise just add VOLUMES to her greatness. Video saved 😊

I'd love to see a curling tutorial on Caroline's hair!

Great video Kris! You are the hair guru.
Thanks for doing this video! Now I need to go get Claudie
Thank you! I have a 58 who just arrived 2 days ago. She is my first curly haired AG. Her curls are in great, un-combed condition. I am eager to smooth out some tangles and to know I can handle her hair in styles like clipping sections back.
I haven't added to my AG collection since 2008 when I got GOTY Mia, but I'm SO tempted by Claudie. She's just way too cute.
Thank you so much for this tutorial. I love watching your videos. They are so informative. And you have a wonderful collection.
Very helpful . I need to fix a few of my curly girls hair
Thank you for this kris- I was going crazy looking at my Claudie loose the bounce of her curls.. now to just prepare to loose my mind for an hour and a half and do her hair 😭❤
Thank you for this great tutorial! I’d love a tutorial for wavy doll hair :)
Do a video on how to recur Lila's hair PLEASE!!!
I love her hair so much!
Can you talk about the “styling spray” American girl is selling now. Apparently it’s really not good cause an employee recommended I shouldn’t buy it.

I have it and it’s really sticky, it was a waste of money IME. 😢

Thank you. We really appreciate this video !
Good job I love it
Please make a video for how to curl an American Girl Kira Bailey doll's hair.
Get some larger foam rollers and do a roller set on her.
This is literally a lifesaver!! Tysm
Great video! Thank you! And I could use a wavy hair tutorial.
Thank you so much, Kris! I just ordered Claudie. This video is totally helpful.
Just got her thank you. Yes please I would love a wavy hair video. I have Nanea and Samantha.
Great Tutorial!
Thank you for this video. Claudie is so beautiful!

Can you straighten a curly hair American girl doll

im getting gabriela dose this work with her
Do you think it would be possible to get the more voluminous hair into something resembling the meet hairstyle or would it have to be one or the other?
Claudie’s curls are different than other tight curly haired dolls from AG, it seems.
❤
I do this, but with a pencil. It’s how I maintain Cecile’s and 83’s hair.
Yeah, I use a knitting needle. I find the rat tail comb is too small.
can u talk about the new American girl doll styling spray that they sell.
Unless you plan on washing your dolls wig that you use it on I wouldn’t recommend using it much. I’d recommend water. Some dolls it works great on, and looks great on, but after you go back and brush again it just doesn’t feel as clean and soft on the hair anymore until you wash their hair!
Ummm. Can I just send mine to you for a curl up? 🤣
Hahah 💕 thank u
Can you please show how to care for Evette's hair
There is already a video on that on my channel💕
Your Claudies look amazing.
I honestly think you should create a shampoo and conditioner for the American girl doll collection just so they have their own hair products that are safe to use on the American girl dolls and won't ruin their hair
She skinny
