I volunteer with a lady who is a six year survivor of appendix cancer. I am a 32 year survivor of cervical cancer. Appendix cancer is very rare. I was found to have my cervical cancer at the time of my hysterectomy for endometriosis. You can say that my endometriosis saved me from more aggressive treatments for my cancer. I am truly blessed. Pray tgat you do well.🙏

Cancer does spread so she also needed chemo. It is a very rare form of cancer.

Praying for your complete healing and fast recovery 🙏. I had stage 3a breast cancer, triple negative,done mastectomy last yr, then chemotherapy treatment 8 cycles and 33 rounds of radiation therapy , Glory to God I 'm fine right now, my hair growing more thicker and black. Next week I will be having my oral chemotherapy treatment capecitabine to make sure the cancer will not be coming back . God is good. By his stripes we are healed 🙏.
@@joycecampos7243my moms hair is growing in thicker than before as well😊 She's the first person in our family to have cancer lung and breast not related to eacher other belived to be causes by the Camp Lejeune tainted water 😢 The Dr's are calling her a Rock Star because she is doing so well😊 I believe and hope it's because she not genetically predisposed to it and the Research Hospital is treating her where the place close to us refused and wanted to just put her in hospice care 😕 Chemo and Radiation for the Lung knocked it out while taking a pill to shrink the small breast tumors and now that the lung is looking good working on immunotherapy for the breast. 82 and kicking ass😂 Never got sick from chemo once and even went fishing during treatments! I hope everyone is doing as well❤

Wow!! I had colon cancer, surgery & chemo. It had spread to abdominal wall, lymph nodes, & small lung tumors. Doctors took out foot of colon & lymph nodes. I couldn't believe they left the tumor on my right adrenal gland!! I begged them to remove it during 5 surgeries on my abdominal cavity. Always, NO!!!!!! Now, over 5 years out, doctor admitted the adrenal tumor is causing Cushings disease!!!🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬 Cushings causes unbelievable side effects on your whole body!!! It causes thyroid problems, uncontrollable weight gain, bone deterioration & more!!!!! Had to have my thyroid removed because I couldn't breathe and swallow any more!! My back broke with out me even realizing I was injured. Just all of a sudden, I couldn't walk more than a few steps without excruciating pain!!! Finally, after 6 Doctors missed it, I was diagnosed with a broken L-5!!! After being accused of being a pain pill seeker 🤬 You're so lucky a doctor removed your appendix!!! Makes your life so much easier. Why can't I get my adrenal tumor removed??? I am sick of the turmoil it's causing!!😢😢😢

😔😔😔 I am so very sorry. When you were NED, you probably thought it was over. I am so glad they found the cancer in your appendix before it was too late. Why does cancer have to attack awesome people??? I have watched over 30 friends & family die from colon cancer in the past 4 years. 😢😢😢 I finally quit counting in order to keep my sanity. If she means neuroendocrine tumors of the appendix, then it’s within the carcinoid umbrella.
It’s still cancer, but mostly much less aggressive than your adenocarcinoma

I read somewhere the appendix is part of the colon, a pouch like thing where the good bacteria hold up to repopulate the colon after sickness, infection etc..

I had that way back in September 2009… My appendix burst and was rushed to the hospital they removed my appendix and Pathology found a lump the size of my finger tip… I have also had 4 other tumors removed before and after that in my colon abdomen (two tumors) and half my thyroid… Now I have two on my left kidney but they are just doing ultrasounds once a year to watch it… Mine is all related to asbestos and PFAS chemicals which I now have a lawsuit going on…
Colon was historically a 50+ cancer until just the last 20 years or so, and today, is almost the #1 killer of those under 40. I had small polyps removed a month ago. I'm 47.
Glad you got that taken care of! The increase in younger people diagnosed with colorectal cancer is disheartening -hopefully more awareness will help.

I'm curious...which type of appendix cancer: PMP (Pseudomyxoma Peritonei) or NET (Neuroendocrine Tumor)? I am a 7 year survivor of a NET ro my appendix, Stage T1aN0M0. Many people are NOT aware that there are two types of appendeceal cancer, BOTH, which are rare. With PMP, it is mucosal and is difficult to treat. I am in support groups online for both PMP and NET cancers. It can be scary, knowing cancer can come back at any time. I pray for your healing....
Would you please share your online support group info? Had appendix cancer. Surgery was Dec. 29, 2014. Chemo & Radiation most of 2015. After multiple small bowel obstructions from adhesions for 3 years, had to have more of my small & large intestines taken out in 2022. So far only 2 obstructions since the 2022 surgery. Thank-you for any information.
