I have a 60lbs cattle dog who also freaks out when you try to pick her up, I've learned the best way to lift. Get on the side of your dog, put one arm on her chest and one arm on her butt right behind her back legs. Then you just lift with your legs and they still feel comforted but also can't squirm too much because of where your arms are placed. I know that was a confusing way to describe it, but it's the best I've got right now haha

Love the content, but I'm in the UK and we've banned docking dogs tails and ears. Sad to see they still do that to pups in the vast majority of states.
