    Andres, another beautiful video.
The encapsulation of the sheer beauty of Colombia can't be done but this is about as close as we'll get.
I am wondering if you can help me at all. I am Colombian but I was raised in North America. I, like you, feel that desire to go back and explore the home land. My dream is to go to Punto Gallinas, the most northern part of all South America. If you have any info on how to get there safely, I'd be forever indebted to you.
Thank you for sharing the beauty of Colombia with all of us.

I appreciate that🙏🏻 there are many tour companies based in Santa Marta that go to punto gallinas. I have never been to La Guajira but if you do some research you will easily find the info you need. I hope to go there soon as well, I believe its 4 hours from Sta Marta

I did the exactly the same trip 6 years ago. I took a big back back for the trip and had t-shirts, pants, socks, extra shoes, camera, power bank. I even took a cake to share with the group and aguardiente. Probably 10-15kg in weight. The guide was like telling me that I had too much stuff. I was like nah it will not be a problem. He was right. 30 mins into the start of the trek it rained. I was constantly wet and some areas of the mountain was extremely slippery and dangerous. The backpack also just got heavier and heavier due to the moisture and rain. So I ended throwing stuff away to lighten the load. GReat trip and amazing memories but I was sooo happy to make it back to the hotel and shower. 1 guy had to be carried out of the place by the military because he broke a knee cap when he lunged in the river to catch his floating shoe and smashed his knee on a rock. It happened at the bottom of the stairs to get to the lost city. The last 1200 steps and he messed up.

Great video! I really enjoy the content you are putting out. So much more interesting than all the other RUclipsrs with their "10 things you need to know..." vids. Keep at it.

Is there a list of essential items that we should pack for a trip like this, when traveling from abroad?

Man off the top of my head bring clothes to protect u from the sun like a light quickdry longsleeve shirt, light pants, and a good hat, the clothes will also give u some protection from mosquitos. Bring a portable charger for your electronics, and something to keep everything dry. Rainjacket, lightweight umbrella, waterproof hiking boots etc...
