    Your results were fantastic! but I wouldn't recommend using charcoal. Charcoal is known to remove toxins and has been used medically for years for that purpose, however it also absorbs and removes important minerals and nutrients as it cannot differentiate between the good and the bad. It just absorbs everything in its way. Therefore, if you are using the clay mixture for the minerals, the charcoal will have absorbed the minerals and nutrients from the clay, the oils and even the ones already on your scalp. It would just negate the benefits of this process. Nevertheless, thank you for taking the effort to make this video. I have just started using clay treatments for my hair today and found this very helpful.
    PS you have such a beautiful face and gorgeous eyebrows

    Can you explain why you should add oils to a powder when you’re trying to rid your hair of excess oil and dirt?

    • @mommymarine1756
      @mommymarine1756 4 года назад +31

      SidneeSpeaks the clay really dries your hair out by striping it. If you add the oil, your hair will feel more moisturized. You don’t HAVE to do it. Some just prefer it after trying it alone. Try both way and see what works best for you.

    • @theGoldenMilkyway
      @theGoldenMilkyway 4 года назад +3

      Yes the same as adding oil to drying shampoos that leave your hair feeling stripped

    • @kit2418100
      @kit2418100 4 года назад +33

      The clay is a super detox. Adding things especially oils defeats the purpose and wastes the products. If your doing clay just do clay and apple cider vinegar keep it simple. If your using Ayurveda herbs in masks that's when you add oils etc because those are not for detox and can be drying depending. If you do the clay properly your hair feels amazing and super soft not dry at all when you rince it out. Do you realise bentonite clay is also consumed internally for detox? Yeah don't add a bunch of stuff to it.. Its not necessary and its a waste. Aztec Clay us Bentonite it's a detox. This poster no offence to her at all but she's really doing the most! Not necessary and a total waste.

    Can u use the same clay for your skin? What clay mix would you recommend for skin? Particularly getting rid of scars and dark spots?

    • @temporarymusiclover

      Yes if you just mix the clay with apple cider vinegar

      temporarymusiclover Thank you! Wouldn’t the ACV be quite harsh though?? Or does the clay help dilute it?

    • @LavishlyBritt
      @LavishlyBritt  4 года назад +2

      I would start off with testing it with just water first to see how your skin reacts to it. I’ve used it a couple of times that way.

    Does anyone know any products that you can leave in your hair that is similar to the Aztec clay mask? Like a similar consistency that can make my hair defined like the mask did bc my hair looked great with the mask on but when I washed it out I realized I don’t have the right hair products.

      That Banana apply mask then shampoo Bc the clay gives ur hair a lot of moisture and u just use the shampoo to clean ur scalp and get rid of the mask thoroughly.

    • @LavishlyBritt

      If I remember correctly from the research I’ve done. Some would not recommend it for colored hair. I would look into that some more if you have color treated hair.
