- Doki Doki Literature Club is an INSANELY genius and touching game made by my friend Dan Salvato... I can't believe I didn't play it sooner. Enjoy the ride! Some scenes are censored due to messing around with RUclips monetization, it's hard to get this video through the automatic censors.
A pretty sad amount of censorship went on in this video so the full reactions are available on the VODs channel.

When Monika is telling you she’s talking to the player and not the in game character she uses your Windows username instead of the ign. Shook me when I first played it.
Fun fact: it doesn't do that when it detects you are streaming the game so you don't get your personal info leaked on accident.

Chat probably told you already, but when Monika's got you alone, she "guesses" at your real name, based on your Steam username and/or computer name and other information available. The fact that she still called you Poo there isn't very common.
It didn't pull his username because he was streaming. Didn't want to give away personal info on stream.

Game checks if OBS (or similar software) is open and changes the dialogue so streamers don’t get doxxed as of a fairly early patch

I'm really happy you enjoyed DDLC. I know that visual novels really arent the sort of thing you'd typically play, but as you saw, DDLC is goddamn brilliant. It's great to know you were open minded enough to take the chance playing it completely blind.

It's one of my absolute favorites-loved it since it first came out. Surprised you hadn't been spoiled with all of the hubbub the game created for months when big RUclipsrs started playing it, but I'm glad you were able to obtain a fresh experience!

Things Poo should learn about harem stuff: knives are not the red flag, girls with green, pink, or purple hair are the red flags. Girls with black, brown, or red hair are usually safe. White, grey, or silver hair is non-binary wholesomeness (light stalking vibes may apply). Yellow/blonde hair implies romantic feelings but superiority and obvious anger issues. Also, the most basic kindness counts as a confession of love by the protagonist, saying the girl's first name is almost a marriage proposal, and hand-holding equals sex.
Saw the thumbnail and title and thought "doki doki literature club?" and yup. For the record I haven't played it and didn't recognize the character

If you liked this, I HIGHLY recommend "There Is No Game 2" and "The Hex". Both indie games with similar outside-the-box stories, but with better game trappings so that it's not such a slog. Go in blind.

Pretty shocked he played/uploaded this given how RUclips is about the whole... thing. Totally agree this game is shocking and unsettling though. I didn't feel right for a good while after playing it.

I also got the joy of playing that game with no clue as to what the hell I was getting myself into. Fun Fact: Monika reads your computer OS ID and calls you that in the scene with just her. I guess Poo just uses Poo for his ID, but I had my real name as mine and when she called me by my name I did ctrl-alt-dlt lol

I think they changed this game a lot in order to make it easier to progress. It was very cryptic before.
I got this game when it was free on the Epic Games Store. Not to play, but to have in my library.
