Lyrics:
Shadows around me, all around me
Blood moon is burning, trying to blind me
Why you wanna blind me?
What's going on, what's going on?
Oh oh why, here I stay
How I long for yesterday
Slow my mind, feel my pain
I still wait for better days
Oh better days
Well, north star is shining, trying to blind me
Blood moon is burning, won’t you guide me
What’s going on, what’s going on?
Oh oh why, here I stay
How I long for yesterday
Slow my mind, feel my pain
I still wait for better days
Oh oh why, here I stay
How I long for yesterday
Slow my mind, feel my pain
I still wait for better days

Thank god there's still some people on the planet making good music.
Agreed! This is stellar 🎉🎆🧨🎸🎶 both are such amazing guitarists and vocalists 💖
There are PLENTY of people on the planet making good music. Why do people keep saying there aren't? There are billions of people on the planet. It's ludicrous to imply that these are the only guys composing anything good.
Airbourne, AC⚡DC, Scorpions, Ozzy... Etc are still putting out Good Music! This is an Epic Album tho! 🤘🏻
Roger than!!
M. S. G, Ronnie Romero, Skull Fist, alot of new Awesome albums and tunes out now, Rock Ain't Dead! 🤘🏻
No posers here. Just good musicians and good music. Pure rock'n roll.
I knew Ritchie had a killer voice, but who knew Adrian could sing? They're really awesome together!
Search for Iron Maiden - Reach Out with Adrian in vocals and Bruce backing. Your mind is gonna blow.
Reach Out is one of my absolute favourite songs! I can also suggest Adrian Smiths album "Silver and Gold" (ASAP, Adrian Smith And Project). To this day it is my absolute favourite album of all time. Each and every song on that album is fantastic!
Everybody who has been a Maiden fan since the '80s has known Adrian can sing... he's always sang backing vocals live. Before Iron Maiden, he sang and played guitar in a band called Urchin. After he left Maiden (1989), he sang with his own band ASAP (Adrian Smith And Project) and put out an album called Silver & Gold.
Them darn fenders rule man jus ask jimi he burnt a few up lol!
Richie is channeling a little Cornell in this one
Absolutamente de acuerdo 😮
This here ladies and gentlemen, is True Rock music and True Rock musicians in this modern era, you dont see true rock music in music awards anymore. Savor this as much
Imagine what it would sound like if Adrian dropped in for one Winery Dogs song on their next release?
This Kotzen/Smith collab is far better than I expected. I have expected something good, but work so well together.
Hell yeah!
First thing I thought. Sounded more like a winery dog tune but you could hear the Smith influence. You should hear Smith's stuff outside of Maiden. Dude is eclectic
@@rickplatte4163 yupp. I still think his guitar play is best in Maiden. He reaches breath-taking heights, especially on the last few Maiden albums. But all his solo stuff is absolute prime music, highest quality.
Better days are here now that I just discovered Smith/Kotzen.
Adrian voice is a hidden gem ......fucking good track 🎸🎸
Smith Kotzen is maybe my favourite collaboration. It works so well - seemingly effortless. And no showing off - no need when you have that level of quality.
I totally agree with you their tones together are awesome 😎👍
Adrian F’n Smith. Who would’ve thought. Killer bluesy voice. Why are we just hearing this rockin stuff now??? 🤘🏻
Bruce has been holdin him back! 🤣🤣 I told both my uncle and brother, these guys both have Awesome rock voices and their lead singers have been holding them back. Hahaha. Shame on Bruce and Bret. Lol
@@rci30 Bret did not hold Richie back for long.
SK songs have a very positive promotion of men which is a refreshing change from the current fashion of putting men down, so well done to SK.
Definitely a massive Chris Cornell style voice, brilliant song too!
Nope, Cris Cornel has Kotzen voice stile.
I can't understand why Richie Kotzen isn't recognized as the top 10 rock stars of all time.
@@danielcerqueiracezar1712 Soundgarden‘s first album was released in 1988 before any Poison or Kotzen solo albums were released.
@@DaveTheFuckingBrave So what? Cornell's voice in the debut SG album didn't sound anything like this and he didn't influence Richie. He is influenced by Sananda Maitreya.
@@mitchie2267 still a stretch to claim that Cornell „has Kotzen voice style“
@@DaveTheFuckingBrave when did I say that?
Pals I m so happy bout these dear people from metal old.school still making the best music ever . Thanks God for all my dear musicians. Im musician of pro heavy and for me and for all my metal s brother is so great these. Awesome .
Another masterpiece - easily one of the most iconic duos already! 🔥
Adrians always been the under-appreciated genius in Maiden Such a underrated player
He was just as important an addtion to the Band as Dickensen . The band instantly took it up to another level when he joined the band and then the band took a huge step backwards when he left and when you rejoined the improvement was agian huge . The music improved when he joined and improved again after he rejoined . Even with Bruce still I'm the band in the early 90s the music immediately suffered after Adrian's departure
2:37 stranger in a strange land solo vibes here! Amazing
If I didn't know better I'd put my life on it that it was Chris cornell singing, awesome job guys first time hearing them just brilliant
I know right, the few tracks ive heard its the same, not a one off, Yes adrian can sing, but that Kotzens got serious pipes.
This is been said about Richie Kotzen many times over and they do have a similar style but if you go back and listen to Chris Cornell you'll actually see how much better a singer Richie Kotzen is but of course as he's gotten older he's a lot more nasally
Definitely a "Super Group". Smith/Kotzen kick some serious Ass. This is the type of rock that used to be made back in the day and then disappeared with a few exceptions "Welcome Back"!!! A breath of fresh air. Richie is the "Man" in every group he's in as well as solo. He is Phenomenal!
Ok so this is insane!! I've been a Maiden fan for over 40 year! Adrian sings??!!! Love Ritchie and the Winery Dogs but this is incredible. Up the Irons!! 🤘
Every track they have released is stellar.
Great heavy groove! Fukk yeah!🍻🎸🎸
Awesome !!!! Awesome !!!! Awesome !!!! Awesome !!!! Awesome !!!! Awesome !!!! Awesome !!!!
This is not a team up I would have thought of. But it definitely works.
Remember buying Richie Kotzens first record on Shrapnel. His finger picking style still blows my mind
Remember doing the same, but was not so impressed by the 1st two albums.
My mind changed when this master piece was released in 1995... Killer !!! : ruclips.net/video/Njfqp5jtKIM/видео.html
He used a pick back then. He switched to finger picking more or less in 2008. His own words: "I stopped using a guitar pick 3 years ago on a tour in Brazil. I was very bored and uninspired and I believed I needed to change my approach and do something out of my comfort zone so I decided to abandon the guitar pick. It worked out great for me because now I am playing and writing things I never would have thought to write or play when I was using a guitar pick." (interview from 2011).
He didn't develop his finger picking wizardry until much later. Maybe he always had it within him dunno, but it wasn't until the mid 00s did Richie exclusively went all fingers and no picks.
Omg, Richie Kotzen!🔥🔥🔥
God bless the day these two guys met!
Rock n'roll yes! ☺😉😎💚🎸🎸🎤🎸🎤🔊
That's a rockin MONSTER !!!!!!!!
Witness to the saviors of rock guitar landscape.....blowing it up just straight up best rock band going. luv these guys
I' ve Had a few drinking problems in my life and i need to admmit that I Cried a lil bit at the end of the video. Thank you Adrian Smith and Ritchie kotzen
At that age ,When you understand music is always alive and free 🎸 jam on from Chicago !!peacefully sent always!!
Groove Rock!!!
I've always loved Adrian's guitar playing he plays with such emotion and melodically I think he's so underated and is the best of the 3 out of maiden 🤘🤘
Agree 100%
Easily the most important and creative member of Iron Maiden.
@@jonshaw9472 I totally agree I remember when he left maiden and I thought we would never hear from him again
@@My.Guitar.Journey it amazes me how he keeps coming up with such brilliant solos, riffs and melodies. His note choice, timing, phrasing and ear for a catchy memorable melody is second to none. A top top musician and the best of British.
@@jonshaw9472 Adrian is a bluesman at heart, and he is such a quality player and singer. When he left maiden they really missed his little touches to make a better sound.
Man I’m blown away by both these guys vocals!! Both standing behind frontmen all these years hiding this talent
PLEASE TOUR!!! 🤘🏻🇬🇧🤘🏻🇬🇧🤘🏻
A combo I would've thought no way. Two different styles totally work in this case as many others. I grew up on Iron Maiden and saw their Somewhere in Time tour in Toronto when Steve Harris tripped and rolled on his back without missing a note. Then Dave and Adrian criss crossed over him then two roadies came and lifted Steve up and he just runs for the monitor to put his foot on it and head bang. I will never forget that concert as it was my first one. Waysted was the opener. Love this music great feel to it! Cheers from Canada!
Wow I never thought this collab would ever cross my mind, So glad I clicked on this for my curiosity
Such a musical force of good, love everything you do Richie :-)
No Smith love?
Thanks but, my name isn't Richie.
You ain't kiddin' Chappers. Kotzen has been a badass guitar player for a very long time.
Aint he just
@@IamtheActionman that's a given
Better days are Now..in this Present.. in this Life! Thanks for all the músic that You give us 💯
What an awesome combination, Smith Kotzen!
Adrian is a true class rocker
thanks you both. Great!!!!!
Great dirty rock 'n roll!
Great great , great ... Two guitarists , two worlds , one music ...
Probably one of the best Adrian Smiths around
Perfection........................
Well, now that's a BADASS song!!! Rock on, guys!!!
That time when the algorithm delivered.
🤘😎
Love Adrian getting outside that box with this - it's amazing.
I think it's probably this stuff right here that's INSIDE his box.
These 2 go together like peas n carrots! Great combination, superb track.
One of the very few records where I do not witness loudness war. Spacey sound with headroom. And great musical performances... All thumbs up.
Adrian is Blues as Hell!
S/K is an interesting project beside Maiden for H.
Hell yeah !!
Took me too long to find out about Smith/Kotzen…but I like what I hear, a whole fucking lot. :)
two guitarists on this level who respect each other.... you don´t see that very often...
Such a breath of fresh air.
Jason Sutter on drums!! This dude is everywhere 🤣Absolute legend.
Great playing, great singing, great tune! There is a different, much more bluesy feel, but Adrian's guitar tone takes me straight back to 1986, "Somewhere in Time"... Love it.
This song is so damn solid! Catchy, rocking’ and hellishly melodic. These two just know how to write great tunes!
Heavy metal masterpiece.
Wish Maiden would showcase Adrian’s vocals more but I’m glad he was able to cut this album with Ritchie.
I've always loved Adrian's voice. So rough and raw but soulful.
He did reach out on a single from somewhere in time...
@@martycarter3306 yep, I’ve got it. One of my favorite Maiden b-sides. I have all of his solo material. He is truly talented!
He's got a Sammy Hagar vibe to him
I LOVE Adrian singing, but you gotta admit that Bruce is one of the best rock/metal vocalists alive, and also Adrian's voice wouldn't fit well. And come on, as a result of that, we got Smith/Kotzen, which is just AMAZING music.
Bollocks to it!.. I missed the premiere by 1 hour...what a tune, I knew I was gonna like this after the first 10 seconds.
Better Days Indeed. Wow!!!
Just ordered my tickets...can't believe these pair of brilliant musicians are coming to within a couple of miles from my house...what a gig this is gonna be!
Lucky!
Wow lucky you!
Cornell lives on !
LOVE THAT VOICE !!!
❤️🇮🇹🏆
Super-groups are not supposed to be this damn good....and these two are damn good!
Fantastic! For the love of god please tour.
Okay. Are we just gonna sit here and not say anything about how much Kotzen sounds like Chris Cornell in his later years? The guy is a Ringer to what Chris sang like.
AWESOME!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Nice vocals, nice guitar performances... nice video, BETTER SONG!!!!!!!!!!!!
Great song, I love this project, two GIANTS!
Don't waste your time always searching for those better days...
Both Vocals rocks!!!🤘🤘🤘
So badass!!!! 🔥
Excellent!! 🤘🏼👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼
I Love em' Both, always did. BUT TOGETHER... GREATNESS is a softer word than should be used!
Powerfully, soulful hell
Wow! WOw!! WOW!!!
Yes!! More S&K!! BRING IT ON!! CAN'T WAIT TILL THEY TOUR!!!👏👏👏💜❤
It sounds so Glen Hughes and Black country Communion
I wish they release at least an EP and some collaboration with Bruce on the vocals
@Miguel Lecina this is the first track off their new EP. I don’t think it features Bruce (and I’m glad it doesn’t, I like how this is separate from Adrian’s life in Maiden), but Mike Portnoy plays on a track
@@tepidtooth8539 Ya I agree , they sound SO great together , while Bruce and Adrian have never "gelled" This could be SUCH a crazy festival tour - MacAlpine, Portnoy. Winery Dogs, Smith Kotzen, British Lion, Stebe's Daughter, Bruce and Janick doing some of his solo stuff, Niacin, and Maiden Headlining
@@Wag2112 yeah but again that is stressing Maiden so much on these offshoots that are trying to be something different.
The only tie S/K and British Lion have to Maiden is the members in my mind and I try not to associate them with Maiden because to me that makes it seem like they can never be more than the band the member is from
@@tepidtooth8539 true, there is also a part of me that involves supporting the person as well. Steve Harris could put out a spoken word country rap song and I would pay a couple bucks, just to support the artist. Haha, that's a little extreme, but you get the concept :)
These two compliment one another just awesome! They both have the vocals& shred a guitar making it look so simple. 🤯
Listen to Kotzen Daily with him or alone. My fix … watching him/them is an added bonus. Unreal what they can do with 🎸🔥💯🌀. ROCK ON!!!
I wish more musicians were willing to get together and kill it. Nicely done
Go Adrian, best bluesman on Earth!😉😘
adrian has evolved and is kicking ass.... they are a great pair!
Just way good, brilliant recording and just enough guitar fireworks to make it a song. Like it!
True Guitar shredders.
two legendary guitarists together. A delight!
These two have such a natural chemistry in both playing and voices. Smith Kotzen works and who knew!
Album number 2?! Sweet!
I am super happy for Richie and glad he is getting the regonition he deserves, Incredible talent as is Adrian
Richies liquid Fingerpicked Lines, spiced with some Gourmet-Notes are so intense...not to mention his Singing Abilities...and so does Adrian ...Power Duo...
Awesome 💯 song great vocals and terrific guitar 🎸 solos these guys are the real deal this is the kind of rock music I grew up with 🤘🤘🤘🎸
Amazing singing from the guitar gods.
Just bloody Brilliant. 🏴🇬🇧
Great song . Congratulations and success .
Live Long and Prosper - INDEED !!
2021 is officially Adrian Smith's year
Man, I expected the collab to be great, but I never expected it to become one of my favorite blues-rock projects. The sum is truly greater than its parts even with such impressive individuals in on it.
Love this project. I would kill to play bass for these guys...
YA Nothing like ominous shoes to fill !
You listen to these guys. Must own record beginning to end. Love it!!
My new favourite band and am 26 years old. I listened to ffdp, bon jovi, scorpions, def Leppard and like their music a lot
Such a great piece of Rock!
