I've had one of these for a few years. I had to return my first one for a glitch in the charging/power circuit. After that the one I currently still use has been fantastic. I did manage to bust the antenna and am still trying to fins an oem arial. Other than those minor issues, a great full featured performer.
Excellent reception on this little radio! I have a video of it on my channel. Unfortunately my telescopic antenna is broken and now missing, and there are many generic ones online, but i don't know the exact length of the original.
when you were trying the freq at 11725...try turning off the syn detect...and hit the U/LSB button and it will go into LSB mode without the sync detect...and see if it is tinny then..I think it was tinny because it was in AM mode and not LSB mode..
Mine has no apparent Serial number or one I can't locaye. Nothing in the battery compartment or under the stand so I suspect it may've been removed. I did buy mine second hand so I'm not sure of it's age. Excellent performer though and superb SSB and synch detector.
What is the Serial # on this unit. I have a good G3 from 2009 ( purchased recently ) BUT not as sensitive as the best so maybe a later year might get there .... Thanks.

I think especially the Eton G3 very late production run at least from Videos seem very quiet and sensitive with excellent SYNC.
