Just did this recently with both the beetle and merchant charms already equipped before finishing the Assisted playthrough. Sold 818 sprays to the first merchant in Hardcore (worth 8.18M, same price as Professional it seems) and was able to buy/rebuy and upgrade all weapons (except Chicago Sweeper and Handcannon which I have yet to unlock). Took a few minutes and was left with around 450K. EDIT: I recommend using the tickets for Chicago Sweeper and Handcannon since they will max out some of the stats for you. I didn't get a chance to compute the total price though, and you're probably going to have amassed a huge amount of money by that point anyway :3
@@shady8621 It was shown briefly in the video. First, you buy sprays from the last Merchant in your Assisted playthrough until your case is full. Hope this helps!
@@FreddyJ67 You definitely can by starting your first playthrough on Assisted mode. Though, you'd need to have saved enough money to buy a decent amount of sprays by the end. [Spoilers] Personally, I started on Standard (NG) to just enjoy the game. Kinda weird how this is a "glitch" (seems more like an exploit because it isn't breaking any rules the game has established) that some who never got that charm and overwrit their first playthrough may never be able to do, or am I misunderstanding something?
@@JerdMcLean Its not a glitch, it is just how the game works. Let me explain, you buy a spray for 10K in pro mode, but if you sell it the merchant only pays you 5K. But if you have the Beetle charm th merchat will pay 100% more for the spray (Or any other healing item be it snakes, eggs, herbs, etc) So you want to buy them in Assisted mode as they cost 3K each, then go to hardcore or pro mode, in those modes a spray costs 10K, so the merchant will pay you in full for each of them as longs as you have the beetle charm active. So you spend 3K for one spray, sell it in hardcore or above with the beetle charm active and you get 10K per spray. All charms are random drops, you will have to keep trying at one of those "bending machines" to get the beetle. Another thing that can help is selling tripleherb heals, the merch gives 20K for each of them, and once you have max health, you no longer need yellow herbs, so thats a good way to get even more money.

The problem is, this is probably not gonna work if you are planning on doing an S+ run on any difficulty, because it requires you to start a clean slate, especially on hardcore and professional which pretty much where you needed the money the most..
That's why I wouldn't attempt this until 1. You got your professional S+ rank already. 2. You've played the game a few times and upgraded the weapons that you used most beforehand. You also don't want to buy too many upgrades on the harder difficulties since it costs more. You'll have to gut it out if you want to keep the millions that you horded for.

just saying but if you’re trying to do this to get the infinite rocket launcher, DO NOT bother if you don’t have the Leon w/ Rocket Launcher or Rhinoceros Beetle charm, you’ll be 500,000 short (which will take about an entire playthrough to obtain)
I went to what I thought was the last Merchant and he only sold me 1 first aid spray can. Does only the last merchant sell unlimited or did they patch this?
Of course it does work for further NG+ playthroughs. But you'll have to beat the game on professional first, then start another assisted run and then do the same thing at the end of the assisted run. Though you probably won't have to since you shouldn't be too far from being able to fully upgrade all of your weapons with just a few more regular playthroughs that you'll be doing to complete the game fully anyhow.
Because you have to start another assisted run first then ng+ on pro. It's like in the original version you can only start ng+ with the inventory and money you had on the run before so if you didn't have the handgun for example when you beat that run, you'd have to buy it and carry it through that entire new run for it to be available at the starts of a ng+ run
Does this have to be the first playthrough? The only save i have left from that is on chapter 13. So can i do this on playthrough 2 and get the launcher on pt3?
Problem for me is when I was saving my game on the 1st go around I was saving overtop of my last save each time. So I can’t go back to chapter 16. I screwed myself, so I’m gonna have to play it over again on east like it’s my first time and save each time individually instead of copying over my last save each time. 🤦♂️
It is a good strategy, but the money in RE4 remake is not as scarce as RE village. it is easy to level up all the weapons in the second play-through even in the hardcore or professional difficulty and get an infinite rocket launcher in the third play-through.

WHY the hell did they place the merchant...BEHIND the fucking player..jesus christ, that may be capcoms biggest fuck up on this game besides the VA's (which i have actually come to love ashley's VA just from the castle section with the knights chasing her)
Whats the advantages of that glitch on the other difficulties except professional? I mean if you sell all weapons you have to buy them all all over again and do all the upgrades, that money got from the glitch wont be enough for that, so i ask again, what are the advantages/benefits of the glitch?
if your doing the cheat just to have fully upgrade weapons for pro you might aswell buy the infinite rocket launcher and keep the change. the only reason to be playing pro on new gameplus is to unlock the chicago sweeper and have to complete it under 7 hours you dont get a s plus rank or a trophy/achivement.
It’s on professional where you would make the higher resale value whilst using the beetle charm - you’re more than trebling your money. It is more than enough to repurchase your weapons and the infinite rocket launcher, if you sold enough to start with. The total cost to own and upgrade every single weapon in the game is around 8.2m - you could get not far off this from the profit from buying 999 first aid sprays and selling them. The cost to buy 999 sprays is just under 3m which you could like achieve in 2 runs + selling some of your weapons. That’s assuming you’d want to have in your possession every single weapon fully upgraded with exclusives (this is assuming you’re not using an exclusive upgrade tickets either and paying for each with ptas).
Does this still work? And do you have to be in professional mode to sell them? I’ve been storing all my first aid sprays for fun because they’re the only item besides weapons that I can store, so I’ve collected quite a few. I’m still missing the charm though so I’m waiting to finally unlock that one.

Just wanna ask: if I start a NG+ & sell everything except the beetle, will this work if I’m trying to get the Chicago Sweeper & even if I sell the Primal Knife, will it still be there back into the store bc if not then I’m screwed, I love my Primal Knife & so that way I don’t have to worry about my knife breaking on me

ok, but what if you didn't get the beettle charm in your first playthrough???? and it seems to me this only helps in NG+.... in a new game this will NOT work
The problem is, this is probably not gonna work if you are planning on doing an S+ run on any difficulty, because it requires you to start a clean slate, especially on hardcore and professional which pretty much where you needed the money the most..
It definitely won't work because S+ requires a new game. Everybody wanting to do an S+ run should know this

Yeah... BUT..... You're still playing in Professional. You'll definitely need those 4 Million .
You can immediately buy the Infinite Rocket Launcher for 2 million. What else do you need exactly?
@@oni-one574 if you want to upgrade another weapon. It takes like half a million to upgrade one fully
That's why I wouldn't attempt this until
1. You got your professional S+ rank already.
2. You've played the game a few times and upgraded the weapons that you used most beforehand.
You also don't want to buy too many upgrades on the harder difficulties since it costs more. You'll have to gut it out if you want to keep the millions that you horded for.

I'm sorry you lack basic reading comprehension moron
This wouldn't classify as a glitch. Just an exploit using the mechanics present in the game.
This is a pretty neat exploit, would make for a much quicker way to get the infinite rocket launcher if one has gotten the charms.
HOLY SHIT ! Played through the game like 3 times in NG+ and didn't realize i can find the merchant dude there in the first chapter, so dumb of me !

Is this still efficient without the rhino beetle charm? I'm all the way to the end and have played the challenges for as many tokens as I'm capable of, but my RNG chose violence and I never managed to get a rhino beetle...
Lol I feel you there, I haven't done much with collecting charms, but last time I stopped in the shooting gallery I got the same charm FOUR TIMES IN A ROW 😭
I never thought to play it on assisted...now I might have to lol.
"Easy"... unless you're most likely screwed over by RNG not getting those charms...
just saying but if you’re trying to do this to get the infinite rocket launcher, DO NOT bother if you don’t have the Leon w/ Rocket Launcher or Rhinoceros Beetle charm, you’ll be 500,000 short (which will take about an entire playthrough to obtain)
I just went around the game 3-4 times collecting treasure and sold it all once I unlocked the Tommy gun

Lil bro is NOT that clickbaiter
what if your already on a standard mode playthrough and you switch it to assisted, will it still work?
Why doesn't it work on further new game plus playthroughs?
you wont be playing in assisted for ng+, very probably
Of course it does work for further NG+ playthroughs. But you'll have to beat the game on professional first, then start another assisted run and then do the same thing at the end of the assisted run. Though you probably won't have to since you shouldn't be too far from being able to fully upgrade all of your weapons with just a few more regular playthroughs that you'll be doing to complete the game fully anyhow.
@@weeboogaijin Except people will often be playing NG+ on assisted to do the no-merchant and no-healing challenge.
I will be sure to do this at the end of my current run! 😁
is it working?
What's the significance of switching difficulties? Don't you just get more money from the charm?
Do you have to start on assisted for it to work because currently I'm on normal difficulty

Thanks for the help
It is a good strategy, but the money in RE4 remake is not as scarce as RE village. it is easy to level up all the weapons in the second play-through even in the hardcore or professional difficulty and get an infinite rocket launcher in the third play-through.
But with this you can get the RL immediately after unlock and not your 3rd playthrough
i know that no one probably plays this game anymore but if you sell all your stuff you had in the 1st playthrough and i already did a new game+ playthrough will you lose all your stuff when you load in after selling everything in new game+? im bad at explaining but please someone answer
Fantastic video and right on time! Also, it’s pesetas, not dollars
WHY the hell did they place the merchant...BEHIND the fucking player..jesus christ, that may be capcoms biggest fuck up on this game besides the VA's (which i have actually come to love ashley's VA just from the castle section with the knights chasing her)
1:14 would it still work if we put the new game on hardcore mode?
So the different modes also makes different value of items ..interesting
After finishing the first run (assisted mode) do i need to play professional? Or can i just play on hardcore? Or even standard mode
Does this work on hardcore instead of professional?
Yes
I did it the grind way, upgraded every weapon to the max plus purchased a few exclusive tickets over 8 playthroughs
What did it cost?
Do u need the charms i cant get them and shooting range is too hard for me
It won't let me buy first aid sprays
I'll definitely try this.
This isn’t really a glitch per-say, but still good to know.
Whats the advantages of that glitch on the other difficulties except professional? I mean if you sell all weapons you have to buy them all all over again and do all the upgrades, that money got from the glitch wont be enough for that, so i ask again, what are the advantages/benefits of the glitch?
You can't be serious
Don't have to spend real money on the weapon tickets.
if your doing the cheat just to have fully upgrade weapons for pro you might aswell buy the infinite rocket launcher and keep the change. the only reason to be playing pro on new gameplus is to unlock the chicago sweeper and have to complete it under 7 hours you dont get a s plus rank or a trophy/achivement.
I cant imagine being this slow
Does this still work? And do you have to be in professional mode to sell them? I’ve been storing all my first aid sprays for fun because they’re the only item besides weapons that I can store, so I’ve collected quite a few. I’m still missing the charm though so I’m waiting to finally unlock that one.
