- In this video, I will show you how to identify if your CDI (Capacitor Discharge Ignition) is AC or DC powered. I will also show you how to trace your wires from your CDI to the pickup coil, ignition coil, kill switch, and power.
This is suitable for almost all 150cc go kart including:

Very helpful I am trying to take a CDI from a 4 wheeler and use it on another engine. You gave me the info I needed to move forward with taking it apart.
I have kandi 2017 200cco kart.i have new cdi,stator and regulator/rectifier. Ground is good.but battery drain's and while engine is running, engine shuts off when battery drop's to 10volts. What could be the problem?

Not familiar with this one. If you changed everything, check your ground. This is a common problem, soon a ground goes bad, you do not have the same power coming in for the components and some will not work properly. As for the plan, I don't know, sorry.

I dont have a black and whit wire coming from my two wire connector to my cdi.
i cant find a 6 wire voltage regulator for my 200cc gy6 11 pole stator.. it has the smaller CDI (AC) on it. new the guy said. i got this kart as a crank no fire. customer says the shop put a new CDI on it and it ran find then one day died while running. just going over the kart it has been abused and the techs sucked that worked on it . its only 2 years old and missing stuff.. bottom line is i cant find a 6 wire 2 plug AC volt reg...anybody know whats going on with this thing? or where to get the part? the regulator has a big crack on the bottom side so guessing it blew..

CDI, you have 2 types, AC or DC, it will depend on your machine and wiring.

Sorry, didn't see your comment until today. You know, not having spark can be the cause from multiple things. It would be long for me to enumerate all of them. If you follow the video, it should help.
