Congratulations!!! Moving on to the next phase of your life!!!! Owning a house!!! Good luck!!!
Here is a question I have for you: Will you be on the hunt for a teaching position once you get settled in Austin? Congratulations on this big move! 😀.
I wonder if she'll have to recertify
@@mountaingalhomemaker4179 I believe that most states have reciprocity, which means that based on her certification and requirements, if they match, she might not need to take any additional tests, and will be granted a Texas Teaching Certificate. I could be incorrect on this though.
@@roderickwoodard1415 I don't know when I finished college I like many students in my area certified on both ga and TN though I only taught in ga it was the same test for both but I believe not all states use the praxis test.
@@roderickwoodard1415 but it also been 15 years since I taught public school
@@mountaingalhomemaker4179 This is also true.
I too moved from Northern Virginia to Austin- and I teach too- you’ll love it!!!
This isn't a question but hopefully a helpful comment. I live in Texas, so welcome to this amazing state. But I was listening to your podcast when you announced your move and you mentioned how you had to order appliances. I hope you have already done that because with Covid and the manufacturers not working they are way behind in putting them out. Our dishwasher went out and it took about 2 months to get a new one. Just a heads up. Hopefully by now that is not the problem. Good luck on your drive down!! I am so glad you are coming to Texas!!
Thoughts on what’s happening politically around teaching in Texas?
I think Austin, unfortunately, is the most left leaning city in Texas. But the state of Texas definitely does what they want and it’s awesome!
You are going to love Texas!!! No more coats! Congratulations!!! Very exciting!! Blessings
I have a similar question to others: have you already found a teaching position?
Welcome to Texas. I live in San Antonio. My first teaching job was in Austin. I hope you continue you tubing.
Yayyyy! I’m in Austin, I love it here. I teach HS English & I’d love to meet you!!!

I'm so excited for y'all. Please don't feel obligated or guilty for handling your personal life without sharing. Congratulations! I will always be team Emerson.
We drove from CA to FL. If you stop in Mississippi stay at Margaritaville - it is amazing!
Yessss!!!! I’m a teacher in Austin, you’re going to love it!!!!
I felt the same way about my wedding celebration. I just felt our elopement was so special and I was ready to move on to my next life steps so wedding was cancelled. I also didn’t wear my dress so we took photos in my original dress! Maybe you could take some on your anniversary in your original dress?
Congratulations on the move!
