Being a fan of e-sports, video editing and documentary, this has to be, your best quality content. Dota 2 fans will appreciate this, hope the e-sports industry too. This has to go into a television!
Awesome job man!!! I'm glad you decided to make this video despite the chances of not getting a lot of views from it. This may not garner a lot of views but you gained my respect for doing this with the necessary details. Once again, awesome job!!!! P.S. - Now I just want the main event to start so we could get ourselves some awesome dotes!!!
I honestly dunno why, but Dota, and specialy TI!...they convey so many feelings, it really feel like a travel, an overrall sense of achievement or failure! Pure and raw PASSION!... A "path"!...and, not trying to be biased here, but to this day i still haven't found another esports and game like it! It's like if you could condense express and convey your own very primal feelings and emotions through a videogame and a true celebration of the best every year! To me it's like the World Cup, but every year! I may have some doubts about tomorrow, but i know for sure, i'll play and watch Dota till i die!
I'd say CSGO for me. I'm a CS player since I was 3, and for me, Majors are just everything. I know what you mean, a single game could define so much things, and there are no words to describe so. I love Esports, and even if I don't understand Dota, I know it means a lot, not just for the industry ( raising the bars for other games ) but also to the fans, all the histories, the legacies. And Dota has the best system of them all. A sort of World Cup, in where teams either survive or are left to rot in the deepest pit of Hell. Dota will always have a place in the Hall of Honor of modern videogames. It's set the standards for many years to come, and hopefully, it'll never stop being awesome. ( I watch it from time to time anyways ) I'd love if CSGO was like this, instead of 2/3 Majors, only 1, with this type of system... glorious.
Dude there is no esport that can even express the quantity of emotions and passion give to the community, and not just the community, the other esports community. Knowing that CSGO, HotS, Heartstone, Overwatch and even some League players watch TI is something that any esport can't show and the fact the sacrifice for a tournament like ti requires for the player not just for the money, for the honor to be known as the best team in the world. Trust me dota is one of the unique esport where the a huge amount of players doesn't play for the money, the play for honor. Dota is and it will be the most important and influent esport in the world no matter what, if u play it or not
TI6 Story should have been told from the Wings PoV imho. Many consider that team the strongest team ever at a certain meta, and they came in as a huge underdog aswell.
ti4 was the super team dk choking hard. ti5 was the cdec cinderella story. ti6 was wings with the most entertaining doto and the roster doesnt even have established name. just solid strategy, beautiful executions and diverse drafts they rarely pick the same hero twice iirc
Totally, Wings story was amazing, they came out of nowhere just a couple of months before TI6, they won some tournaments and their drafts where completely unexpected every single time and the execution was amazing, players and casters said that "Wings were playing in their own meta" TI5 focusing on EG's story is kinda understandable since they won the tournament tho...
Wings path was clearly amazing, but gotta say, as every goddamn chinese team a boring boring playstyle, yeah they got the versatility and the unpredictable draft, but in game their playstyle was boooring af, no agressive plays in early, highly priority in the carry space, and a quite defensive mid even with heroes like Invoker or Storm Spirit that tend to be agressive. Not a bad team, but definately not the best of all the TI champions
Every time I wanted to give up on this game, every time I wanted to quit .. I just watch all your amazing videos to hype me up and that teaches me not to lose hope because someday I will see myself in one of these stories. The music that were played, the words that has been said, the tone of commentating just to keep up with the scene in this video are enough to open your DOTA and start finding match. Masterpiece.
as expected to the channel that brings so much hype for the upcoming TI8. even with a lengthy video, you guys made me enjoy watching it as a Dota 2 player. time, talent and effort must have been poured a lot to make this possible. you deserve all my commends.
you know what? i am quite proud of myself for being one of the first subscribers of this page. i remembered it was still 15-20k subscribers and look at you now nearly a half a million already. please continue to make good videos guys. and more viewers/subscribers to come.
That's it for CDEC in TI5? As an NA Dota and particularly EG fan I loved seeing the focus on EG for their top 3 finishes in TIs 4-6 (and am glad for the omission of their embarrassing early exit from TI7) but EG was not the only story of TI5. At the very least you could mention that CDEC was not one of the Chinese Juggernauts, but a little WILDCARD team that had never even won a tournament--not one as a team, not one by any of their players--until they stormed through to the Grand Finals of the International. It wasn't a super-close GF but they were still only a few breaks away from being the Wildcard team that won TI as its first tournament win.
they didn't even do much about Wings who were 5 literally unknown players who won ESL One Manila and then got last place at the following event, Manila Major, stayed together, fought in the CN qualifier, won it and showed up in style at TI
Exactly! I mean it's understandable that they focused a bit more on western teams, but omitting the performance of CDEC in TI5 and Wings in TI6 is just ridiculous... especially for a video titled 'the story of the international'... these teams are the best part of the 'story'
Didn't notice miposhka's name being mentioned here 27:20. From being one of Liquid's foes in TI7 to now being the captain of the TI10 champions. Salute!
6k hours since august 2013, using key to playing, all server still combined. pudge bug by navi, alliance navi el classico, mushi am overrated, all for love.
I don't think I've realized how long this game has been a part of my life or how many memories it's created, until now. This is the best video I've seen in a long time and it left me with this empty feeling inside. Good thing the games continue tomorrow... Amazing stuff 11/10!!
Wow I will be honest. What I saw was far FAAAR from what I expected. This is some TOP quality and experience mate. Amazing job. Please keep this updated. Add OGs story from TI8 and keep updating this with every new TI.
The intro so inspirational and have really boosted my confidence when I’m playing the game “In the pursuit of greatness we are ask to give our lives away to relinquish our time, our energy and our bodies, all to reach the top of our chosen fields,to become the greatest to have lived and most importantly to become a champion”. Those very words are what reinspired my love for the game and for Esports as a whole
Na'Vi was the closest we got to a sports team fanbase in e-sports. I still remember the original TI1 roster by heart: Puppey, Dendi, XBOCT, LightOfHeaven and ArtStyle. It was the perfect combination of freshness, playstyle and, obviously, them winning it all.
I knew I wanted to play this game more seriously the very first time I saw The Play in one of your older dota videos. Still one of the best channels for Esports storylines, want to see one on some of the salt, drama and betrayals in the dota scene.
I'm sorry, but TI5 was the worst writing in this piece by far. I know you want to focus on EG, but completely dismissing CDECs run from the qualifier to the grand final and going as far as calling them a chinese giant is not just missleading it is plain missinformation. CDEC came out of nowhere with no notable players and as a youth team for LGD suddenly made it to the grand final was one of the biggest surprises in dota history. Similar critique goes for TI6 and Wings. Cmon guys i know the narrative of World against China is tempting, but you miss so much good stories by letting all the details fall on the chinese side.
i completely agree. tbf there are a lot of storylines in ti and there is bound to be a few missed ones in a 30m video but cdecs and wings stories should be told properly.
Agree. CDEC is the only community-based Chinese pro team that went to TI. It's abbreviation says itnall, Chinese Dota Elite Community. It's a team that grew from an internet cafe community and wasn't really sponsored by big corporations.
Holy shit man. Great great content! As a Dota Fan/Player who has played for almost 12 years i got dem feels in this video. Damn im old! Keep it up theScore!
Great job you guys, always delivered on the quality of content you worked on. I was even tearing up near the end. What a great narrative someone's salty about their favorite SA team that went home yesterday and took it out by dropping a dislike lol
I've been watching video's from your channel for like a week now. Can't stop to watch more coz you've been making this amazing content. From CSGO to Dota. Great work! Keep it up 👍👍👍👌👏👏👏👏
I actually saw Dendi today filming something for the International at Granville Island in Vancouver, I was sort of amazed at first. The guy is truly an amazing player and individual.
I can’t wait to watch esports with my kids like I watch football with my dad. The games that you remember. Boise St. vs Oklahoma, Fiesta Bowl 2007. EG vs Ehome G1 TI6.
I remember Ti6 because almost everyone was picking Shadow Demon and then using disruption to create illusions. Then they sit back and send the illusions to the high ground to chip away at the towers. Games went on for so long.
What make Dota 2 more special than LOL or CSGO? It is The International. Because of the TI free-to-anyone qualifying round, any team by anyone, whom may be an ordinary office workers, students or old friends can have a chance to lift the Aegis of Immortal. LOL franchise system may help stabilized thousand of players financially , but by locking in the LOL World Series to only the franchise team from recognized league all over the world, it diminished any hope of ordinary players to achieve their dream. There is little to none of surprise of what Dota 2 have done compared to LOL. There will be no CDEC, Digital Chaos, and Wings story in LOL. Even in this year TI8, Team Serenity of unknown players have make an upset to qualify from China Qualifier, which is one of the brutal rounds ever.
If you are really good at dota2. It'll not put to waste cause you can join qualifier for free and might qualify for an event. That's why i love this game.
Great video, really fun to remember all those past years. You could give more coverage to CDEC and WING, though they deserved it. Now time to watch China win this TI since it's an even year.
I don’t even play dota 2 , but damn this is quality content
Dont even think about trying, it will eat your nerves away if you ever think about playing ranked games
Let's see... play dota but don't take it too seriously. Mute everyone. I'm 3200 hours in and trust me. Best game I've ever played.
Dota2 Golden Rule :
Mute your teammates.
mute players that derserve it and dont just mute everyone from the start... dont be childish ! be a teamplayer
Fabricio Osuna just 3200hrs? Those are newbie number =)))
Seriously, Valve should start hiring you for TI's to do content for them. Your ability to tell a story and play with our emotions is unparalleled!
Dimitar Venov score e-sport will be competing with S.A.Slacks if they do content for Valve. But the winner will always midormeepo XD
Dimitar Venov Without a doubt
Have u heard of a guy called SirActionSlacks AKA content king
0:30 - 1:00 In just 30 seconds they show the magic of TI

I actually consider the DC journey, even though they lose in the final. But the game againts EG is all in all the best 4 me

lizz Y sooo because you think that they play what you call typical boring chinese Dota they were a “not a bad team”
You always deliver such quality content. Your videos are so well composed, written, edited, EVERYTHING IS AMAZING *AAAAAAAAAAAAAAH*
We have been waiting. And you guys have always delivered.
Liked it already before even watching lol
Eugene Dizon k
That was such an awesome video. TI, where dreams are either made or shattered. Where superstars become legends.

Ahhhh, those old TI days. Started watching dota seriously because of Dendi. Miss you so much Dendi :(

MrRafting and then they're fucked by the Chinese esports organization...
I understand what you meant to. But mate, this video is half an hour allready.
Exactly! I mean it's understandable that they focused a bit more on western teams, but omitting the performance of CDEC in TI5 and Wings in TI6 is just ridiculous... especially for a video titled 'the story of the international'... these teams are the best part of the 'story'
I think this is because how secrrtive cn dota is so its kinda hard to get info for those teams
Didn't notice miposhka's name being mentioned here 27:20. From being one of Liquid's foes in TI7 to now being the captain of the TI10 champions. Salute!
This had everything in Dota. I have 11000 hours on Dota and I have seen every moment on this and it makes me so happy to see this.
Jesus Christ 11 thousand hours lmao
God dammit i only have 5.4k, you sir have beaten me when it comes to hours.
6k hours since august 2013, using key to playing, all server still combined.
pudge bug by navi, alliance navi el classico, mushi am overrated, all for love.
you can still play that in arcade by the way lmao
good times
jesus fucking christ guys...
Jesus man watching "the play" sends shivers down my spine. Goosebumps brrrrrr
Amatus Anathema PATIENCE FROM ZHOU HAHAHA
Never pull a Tidehunter CC with an Enigma and Rubick around in a teamfight. NEVER.
I shivers from the beginning till the end. The memories, the caster, the crowd, the old HUD :')
I don't think I've realized how long this game has been a part of my life or how many memories it's created, until now.
This is the best video I've seen in a long time and it left me with this empty feeling inside.
Good thing the games continue tomorrow...
Amazing stuff 11/10!!
This gave me chills and goosebumps
TI8 Hype!
Wow I will be honest. What I saw was far FAAAR from what I expected. This is some TOP quality and experience mate. Amazing job. Please keep this updated. Add OGs story from TI8 and keep updating this with every new TI.
Nice Video. It included some great content. Keep it up.
Every video published by this channel is some of the best content for e-sports here on RUclips. Must take a lot of work, you deserve the praise.
The crowd chanting Kuro's name always gets me. Nice job in making this video.
32 mins. of watching felt like a minute. FeelsGoodMan
This is the video, we needed and deserved and you guys, gave it all
I m in tears dude, stop making those vids so god damn epic man..
I'm not really a fan of Dota but this is for damn sure a well told, quality story. Such a gret video!
I waited four fking years for this moment
hii ive been waiting for this😊
Damn. TI3 finals game 5 still gives me goosebumps to this day
Goosebumps, goosebumps everywhere.
This is why we love dota2
9:37 If it wasn't for kyxy denying the Aegis we probably wouldn't have gotten the monumental Ti3 grand finals that we had hoped for
And we would never have gotten the incredible navi vs alliance game and the million dollar dream coils
Nobody can still do the fountain hooks more better than Dendi.
Probably because it was immidiately patched after the tournament
Some Chinese teams (like IG in TI2, CDEC in TI5 and Wings in TI6 deserved much more attention.
Anyway, thank you for the great quality content. :)
Still remember my first set I ever watched of Dota 2... TI3 Finals. To say the least, it has made me a forever fan.
The intro so inspirational and have really boosted my confidence when I’m playing the game
“In the pursuit of greatness we are ask to give our lives away to relinquish our time, our energy and our bodies, all to reach the top of our chosen fields,to become the greatest to have lived and most importantly to become a champion”. Those very words are what reinspired my love for the game and for Esports as a whole
Very nice presentation. It felt as if I just rewatched all of the internationals. I love this channel!
Rip NAVI. still praying they make some sort of comeback to the esports dota scene.
Rhett Green widout dendi navi is jst an regular team for me
Na'Vi was the closest we got to a sports team fanbase in e-sports. I still remember the original TI1 roster by heart: Puppey, Dendi, XBOCT, LightOfHeaven and ArtStyle. It was the perfect combination of freshness, playstyle and, obviously, them winning it all.
Heitor, Can't agree more!
tbh all navi fans even myself still watch navi games just to see if they will be truly back or not
with or without dondo
theyre going to TI9
this channel really never fails to amuse me.
I knew this channel gonna upload something about TI

Best E-Sports channel. Hands down.
There is tears in my eyes, all those memories, thank you theScore.
I don't even like Dota but this is some top tier content. Good shit.
27:34 the most epic cast Tobi and SyndereN had ever done!
I knew I wanted to play this game more seriously the very first time I saw The Play in one of your older dota videos. Still one of the best channels for Esports storylines, want to see one on some of the salt, drama and betrayals in the dota scene.
11:10 until this year... by god was it worth it to stay up 24 hours to watch that live
THE best and most informational video of Dota 2s esports scene even outdoing Free to Play by Valve themselves
This channel has the highest quality content I've seen in a bit, especially when it comes to gaming. You deserve many, many more views.
Had goosebumps watching this. Great vid!

Who gives a fvck about Chinese team anyway?
Agree. CDEC is the only community-based Chinese pro team that went to TI. It's abbreviation says itnall, Chinese Dota Elite Community. It's a team that grew from an internet cafe community and wasn't really sponsored by big corporations.
And calling them imperious? What nonsense.
Don't forget lfy
Holy shit man. Great great content! As a Dota Fan/Player who has played for almost 12 years i got dem feels in this video. Damn im old! Keep it up theScore!
You guys deserve millions of subscribers.
Keep doing what you do. Seriously, keep doing what you do.
You guys really do go above and beyond with the videos. I've learned so much shit from the mini-docs. I hope they do a competitive call of duty one
Dayum soo much emotion in this vid the passion on the game...this is why dota is still my number 1 game....
THESCOREESPORTS NEVER FAILS TO DELIVER. LOVE YOU GUYS SO MUCH. keep creating content. (more CS ones though haha)
Great job you guys, always delivered on the quality of content you worked on. I was even tearing up near the end. What a great narrative

U got timing almost perfectly to upload this video! Congratz, liked like always. lakad matatag!!!!
We all love TI!!!
Standing ovation from the "crowd" ... it's freaking 100 people
This is amazing. Thank you for making this video
Watching this while sitting in the airport on my way to ti8
You could make an hour long movie and it would still be impossible to do every team, every storyline justice. So for a a 30min video this is awesome.
That introduction sent chills down my spine. What a video
You were right “Miracle, Your so damn deep!” XD just kept me laughing
GOD FUCKING DAMMIT MY GOOSEBUMPS AT 0:30-1:00 HOLY SHIT. That was the greatness of TI in a nutshell right there.
Gave me chills. Quality content!
guys this is by far, BY FAR, the best thing you have done this far. i cried lol
Righy momentum you guys upload it before main Event of TI8
You guys earned my respect and I'm never regret subscribes your channel since last year

I've been watching video's from your channel for like a week now. Can't stop to watch more coz you've been making this amazing content. From CSGO to Dota. Great work! Keep it up 👍👍👍👌👏👏👏👏

THE NEXT LEBEL PLAY!!!
LAKAD MATATAAAAG!!!
Normalin normalin!
I actually saw Dendi today filming something for the International at Granville Island in Vancouver, I was sort of amazed at first. The guy is truly an amazing player and individual.
You should do a video on Wings gaming and what happened. Great video and a good way to revisit the legendary TI’s
the TI4 sock at 17:48 is just as memorable as TI4 deathball strat
I can’t wait to watch esports with my kids like I watch football with my dad. The games that you remember. Boise St. vs Oklahoma, Fiesta Bowl 2007. EG vs Ehome G1 TI6.
that arrow at 22:37 still gives me goosebumps
i dont play dota but that much money would boost a competetive scene to the sky
$6.000.000 million dollar echo slam
I remember Ti6 because almost everyone was picking Shadow Demon and then using disruption to create illusions. Then they sit back and send the illusions to the high ground to chip away at the towers. Games went on for so long.
The words said about Dota in the last minute of this video are legendary!!!!!!
I watched twice. now i cant sleep because of the hype
This content make me so hype bro, i like it
Then here comes OG in TI8, taking over with best 5 game grand finals, multiple comeback games and greatest drama
Outstanding quality!
Great video, really apreciate that type of content
11/10
Your voice is just so damn good delivering messeges. And that quality content so amaziiiinnnnnnnngggg loving your video.
That Miracle- Juggernaut 2 hitting that Centaur was priceless.

Now time to watch China win this TI since it's an even year.
Liquid will break it ;)
Sad OG break it.. but i realy hope liquid will be the one who break it and become the 1st team to win TI twice
Jan oh how wrong you are
about 90% are talking about "ive been waiting for this content"
but no one is talking about The Legendary NaVi
This never gets old
And Ti8 will be also one of the best Ti ever because of the Drama , Hardship , Comebacks , Great Plays.
