This happened to my 21-month-old daughter - for her it was gradual, she was passing out daily for over a month (we were told it was normal toddler behavior but then a God-sent doctor that noticed her pale/yellow color and did bloodwork). She received 2 transfusions and is now fully recovered. I had a similar prayer as you did, before all of this happened. God promises to use our suffering for good, and I saw His goodness through it all - like you did. Praise the Lord!
