    Epic skateboard films, music videos like Sabotage for the Beastie Boys, then full feature films like adaptation and Being John Malkovich and even the Jackass movies....this guy is such a talented and gifted filmer and director. And a super nice and humble guy to boot

    spike has gone far, I was a fan of his pictures in Freestylin' Magazine in the late 80's, his art covered most of my school notebooks, great to see he is still going

    The first 2 minutes of this segment is a lovely representation of empathy on Colbert's part. Thank-You!

  • @jen3800
    @jen3800 8 лет назад +44

    Colbert is way better than Letterman ever was or could be for one reason. He is real.
    Bravo

    • @MikhailKalashnikovMiG
      @MikhailKalashnikovMiG 8 лет назад +3

      That would be blasphemy to loyal fans of all Late Night. Letterman set the standard for all late night talk shows. Also, Letterman was as real as you could get. He never gave a damn about sounding politically correct nor cared what people thought of him.

    • @billyblunder6533
      @billyblunder6533 8 лет назад

      +jim english Late night with Colbert sucks, and i am a fan of him when he did his other show. he plays to hard to these millennial Liberal PC Bull shit crowd. his ratings have sunken also so i guess i'm not the only one who thinks that.

    • @jen3800
      @jen3800 8 лет назад +1

      Billy Blunder i'm beginning to agree

    • @jen3800
      @jen3800 8 лет назад +3

      Mikhail Kalashnikov Letterman was a corporate shill. Anyone real freaked him out, so he did not embrace the full spectrum of the arts and entertainment. He insulted many a genius guest because they might have threatened his precious career
      he only grew balls when he had secured his tenure

  • @thisisrachels

    He's so fuuuuuuuuuuucking attractive
    Also I'm very embarrassed, as someone who's seen his first three feature films as well as some of his music videos, that I only learned today that he directed Her. Now I really have to watch it.

  • @dreaminginnoother

    I remember back when he used to make music videos too. I have always associated the name with edgy artistic endeavors, so it's kind of funny to see how meek he seems. I guess I expected a more bombastic or bold personality behind the body of work.

    "Weediquette" was one of the ads shown on my screen last week that I chose to watch all the way through and was so inspired at the end of it, I clicked out of the original piece planned on watching to go tell my best friend about. Viceland is a channel I'd actually voluntarily get scammed by my local cable company for in order to watch. S'cuze me, I need to go tell my local cable company they billed me for months I never even had internet and that my original $200.00s I paid in advance for 3 months of wifi appears to have disappeared in a cloud somewhere.

      It wasn't literally Spike, the character was (scandalously) based on him though. However, Sofia Coppola (the director) never confirmed that. It's pretty obvious.

    like the program, not a big fan of the name Viceland, seems that someone really want to take advantage of that successful Grantland, can't you come up with a more original name? besides Viceland is a little weak, Vice is a powerful enough title you don't really need to change it, and vice+land reminds people of "react world" kinda. Simmons got his new Ringer, Woj has vertical, youtube's own Coach Nick has BBbreakdown, those are all new Grantland-ish network but non of those names want to be associated with Grantland. And also, why don't Shane Smith just simply join HBO?
