It's really is Amazing how They made this Game so much like Real Life Fishing Tournaments & the way Fishing really is . I Know Quite a Bit about Bass fishing , I'm not a pro by any means but I know enough & this game does a great job as a Sim . And I've only watched 10 mins of this video so far

It’s not a “simulation” fishing game by any means (ie. catching trout and walleye on a top water frog, which I’ve seen a lot in my experience) but definitely challenging and fun! I’ve found that the game is much more fun with company. If you get a few friends on board to get into the game who are into fishing with some healthy competition, it’s a blast!
And as other have mentioned, fishing towards the bank is always more productive. Unless you’re trolling in the middle.

Do you happen to know any games that are more realistic? (of course with an abnormal huge amount of fish, it isn't fun to wait an hour before anything happens).

Im an avid bass fisherman on the lake and bass fishing is an art there's more to it then pulling up casting and getting a bit. Im sure this game implements a lot of techniques used by the pros. Depending on where to fish or cast relies on water temp., air temp., some people go as far to use barametric pressure, sunny or shady overcast day morning, mid day or late afternoon. During spring early summer time bass spawn on on shallow beds to lay eggs and they can be extremely aggressive such as using a lizard might trigger a bite. Hot summer days bass move off into deeper water. Anyway you get the point the pros live and breath this stuff.

Pick the bass fishing set then select the rat l trap thing then just troll your boat along the rocky shores . Make sure it’s partly cloudy. I did this on the original lake and to thus day it’s my pb largie
Also constantly reel in and then when there is à exclamation point you bring your rod tip up (down on the right stick)

Fishing Sim wasn't a bad game, what I didn't really like was the fact it seemed like anytime anyone joined into the game that it would almost freeze. I am sure this is what you was dealing with. Also it cost way to much currency wise to buy set ups, you know rods, reels the works. If they actually used this set up back then I believe it would of been better. I am not to sure where your fishing on the game I'm taking it up North because of the loom, but around Florida where I live and fish (and it is only bank fishing) its pretty dark water. So being able to see the fish in the game is nice. For the $20.00 would this be a game to get in your opinion?

One big plus is fishing planet is free and it's always hard to argue with free. If I remember correctly I enjoy fishing sim world better. It felt more complete and a smoother experience.

If you fish around islands and structures you have a high chance of getting pike and bass

LOL It's pretty crazy how technical things get in this title. And there's tons of things i'm still learning on it. You almost have to watch all the videos over the features, which i appreciate they put in vs tons of text to read.

This game is terrible, but it's unfortunately still the best fishing simulator:
Baits go through the terrain
Slow to cast
Can only cast from the bow
Trolling motor pedal is stuck sideways
Baits have zero action underwater
Tournament money is useless
Baits are extremely expensive
Have to start your cast looking forward
I'm sure there is more I'm forgetting. Sometimes fun, sometimes extremely aggravating. Not worth the $40 I paid for the Bass Pro version. It's a $20 game at best...

The whole point of simply is for people who don't do it irl to have a go virtually. Learn to fly a plane before going on MS flight sim? Start working on a farm before playing farm sim? What about giat sim?
DO NOT BUY THIS GAME. Fishing Sim world is horrible. I've lost over 200k tackle points by tournaments not logging my catches. No one from dovetail had fixed the problem let alone contact me more than once.
