- Welcome to Part 36 of my long term series of videos covering the build of Don Young's Hunslet 0-6-0 Saddle Tank Locomotive in 5" Gauge.
In this video I return to making something a bit larger than the small parts associated with the Expansion Link, namely the Connecting Rods.
Given the nature of these sorts of projects, new videos will be posted as I progress through the build but there will be no regular cadence, rather their frequency will be dependent upon time available and of course real progress on my part.
If you like what you see, please do give me a thumbs up and subscribe.
Enjoy!
👍👍😎👍👍
Another informative vid Mark did you have any problems with the rods bowing ?
Surprisingly and pleasently not 👍
Thanks again Mark.
Brilliant video.
Hi Mark, what type of milling machine are you using, and what is the max travel obtainable on the main traverse please.
I guess you have fitted a DRO to your mill.
Cheers.
Andy G.
Hi Andy
My Mill is an old Warco round column Mill/Drill (I can't remember if it's a Major or a Minor). Table travel is approx 380x125mm (15x5") and yes, I fitted a DRO not long after I bought it about 20 years ago.
Cheers
Mark
Keep making great videos. Do not waste your time = P r o m o S M !!
