Jeff is so talented. He actually makes the dummies or puppet’s not sure what you call them and is not only a ventriloquist but a great stand up comedian as well.😊
Walter and Peanut have been a part of Jeff Dunham's act since the start. One of Jeff Dunham's hobbies is helicopters and he's built a couple himself. While living in Dallas, he kept his helicopters in a hanger at a local airport and there were always a couple of old guys at one one of the hangers near his. Walter is based off of one of them.
Jeff has decades of experience. He started at 8 and while in college, in the early 80s, created José and Walter, and had a friend make Peanut as Jeff only specializes in "hard" style puppets.
Jeff's been around for more than "ten years". Jeff has been doing ventriloquism shows (professionally) since he was a teenager in the 1970s. His first appearance on the Tonight Show with Johnny Carson was in 1988. For the past ten years he's consistently been one of the highest paid comedians in the US.
My Aunt Margaret’s late husband Leo was grumpy like Walter but without the swearing. I remember that in the summer he wore shorts with dress socks and nice shoes. For a few years, before he retired, he worked at the counter at the post office. As you would expect Uncle Leo was not cheerful and friendly. Can you imagine Walter delivering mail or helping people at the post office window?
Kabir, Jeff Dunham tours regularly. I have seen him twice live and he is great! If he is in your area, you should go see his show! Jeff Dunham makes his puppets using 3D printers. If you listen carefully, although each puppet character has a distinct voice and accent, underneath you can tell from the tone it is ALL Jeff Dunham's voice :)
I started watching Jeff Dunham in the early or mid 90s. It's the Aunts & female cousins in my family that says all the crazy junk. 😅 The tend to be fairly quiet and keep their mouths shut most of the time. 😅😅
Jeff Dunham began his ventriloquist career at the age of eight. He's 61 now, meaning he's been performing ventriloquism routines for more than 50 years.
I watch this and say, "What am I doing wrong?" (I'm 77 years old and I'm not acting my age it seems) Jeff had been doing ventriloquism since he was 12 years old.
I love how Jeff can pretend the cute puppets are completely non-PC, blatantly offensive, utterly inappropriate... and then he makes an apologetic face like he can't believe the puppet said that... and you really feel bad for how embarrassed he is... for a few moments until you remember he both writes and speaks all their offensive lines. Yet somehow... we still blame the puppet?
Omg this is one of my all time favorite Walter skits. The first one
I love Jeff Dunham, my favorites and peanut and Walter ❤
Jeff's first TV gig was in 1976 at the age of 14, he's been doing this a long time...

Jeff’s a genius! Even though I know perfectly well that they are puppets, I always seem to forget that because Jeff is seamless!

A few years ago, Jeff got divorced. Look up a video about him discussing that development with Walter.
Walter is my very favorite character!

You need to watch Jeff Dunham all over the map.. That is insanely hilarious.
