Hi there, Singaporean here too! And yes, prices here is like...a lot. Try the lesser known stalls or visit local coffeeshops within neighbourhoods with lots of people. It's cheaper there.

As a singaporean, don’t go to those famous stores, the thing my family does is just buy the crabs fresh from Malaysia or catch them ourselves and home cook them lmao

This comment is wild, the alternative for going to famous/expensive stores for a tourist is never go to another country and then cook it yourself at home? At least recommend some better local/cheaper restaurant options!
@@no14sureit might be for other countries but it rlly is alot cheaper to eat in msia instead and depending on where u live in sg its like a 1-2hr bus ride if no jam. But yeah i agree with the part about buying or catching it yourself and cooking it, thats a bit hard to do especially if u dont live there or anything.
@@no14sure ajajdhnsbd for the rest of us who cannot cook, we usually eat chilli crabs as a treat, it’s too unhealthy to eat all the time so the splurge isn’t too bad 😂 We usually spend $70-90 per crab. To be honest, in Singapore you can find amazing food for as cheap as a few dollars and as expensive as you’re willing to go.
Tourists can't cook this in their hotels and must go out and eat at the restaurants. Please just give a recommendation, rather than give a resident's POV.

I ate crab once, it was damn good but I found out I was allergic and got rashes for a week 😢😢😢😢 and the fact that my family eats it a lot since we're Singaporean

If you look for tourists who make food vlogger in Bali, you will see the quality and the price isn't so expensive. Indonesia consists of a big islands where we have wide territory of ocean to get unlimited sea food supply
