    2020 Kia Sportage GT Line Diesel Automatic VIDEO REVIEW
    (note: power 136kw/400Nm not 130kw/400Nm)

    Launch Review: • 2019 Kia Sportage mode...

    Review excerpt:
    Stepping in to a Kia Sportage, is to say something about you.
    You don’t give a rat’s about badges, and care more for comfort and value. Quite right too. She is as pretty as a picture on the outside. There is a hint of muscle, mixed with playful schoolkid, and I like that.
    Outside:
    Exterior design is gracefully executed from front to back.
    The front end is all business with big powerful LED headlights. A chunky side profile includes doors with easy-access handles. The key can stay in your pocket, even when around the back. The tailgate swings elegantly skyward after a couple of less-than-discrete beeps.
    Sportage is big enough to be useful without being so big that you can’t park it.
    The Kia is surrounded with sensors for parking, which are augmented by the obligatory reversing camera complete with rear cross traffic alert. The latter is handy coming out from between a couple of tradie’s vans at Bunnings.
    Inside:
    If the outside is tastefully sculptured, the cabin is calm and quiet.
    Front passengers have seat heating and cooling to go with their leather upholstery. The peeps in the pauper pews have to manage without the luxury of such temperature controls. They’re not totally bereft of comfort though. They still have lashings of leather, a cornucopia of cupholders, and a plethora of power points.
    Rear seats fold 60/40 to accommodate

    Thanks for the review. Couldn’t agree more!Such a silky smooth ride.
    I would like to see more content on all the functions this car has to offer, with practical demonstrations (because there is so much fancy tech and the owners manual is heavy reading), such as how and when to use brake hold, how to set the adjustable cruise control, an automatic parking button demonstration, and how to navigate the infotainment system.
    Love your work.

      Thanks for the suggestions. FYI all of the things you've mentioned have been demo'd in other videos, and pretty much, all brands work the same way (except auto parking can differ). We try not to do the same info in every video because there is a very limited amount of time that viewers will watch for:)

    I took a new sportage for a test but found the 8 speed did hunt up & down gears on the slightest incline Hwy speed which was anoying worse in cruise control. So I kept my old 6 speed diesel even though it's the base model 2016.

      @gaycarboys  3 года назад

      interesting. but of course they're meant to change gears often. you shouldn't feel it though. did you feel it?

    • @johnclark4131
      @johnclark4131 3 года назад

      @@gaycarboys Yes you can feel it change down, up, down again on a slight incline more so in cruise 100k, mine holds on to top gear longer. City folk only get to test drive around the burbs and few if any reviews are out on the open road.

      does yours have driving modes by any chance? You're right about reviews on the open road too. i assume most reviewers at least drive on the open road as part of their assessment. i did hear once that a review was written on the basis of 40km which was disappointing

      @@gaycarboys Yes all the QL's have the sports xmission, were hot sellers in Oz in resent years but now struggling in sales. People opting for the Isuzu Mux (not much dearer than diesel Sportage) and duel cab Ute's are everywhere.

      yes i don't understand the Cab Utes either. great for tradies. i was only talking to KIA recently, thinking about a time when their 4 speed transmission should be in all cars.lol how times change

      we mention as many as possible, but if we went through all the features the video would run for aout an hour

      @@gaycarboys of course you do an awesome job and yes it would take a very long time and.the duration of the video would exceed its time with every single feature..
