Awesome review/retrospective. This really was a high point in the 80s horror franchise scene. Hope to see more Elm street movies or the 80's Chuck Russell Blob remake. 👍
A Nightmare On Elm Street The Dream Warriors stands out as a Nightmare sequel because each distinguishable protagonist had some ability, and Freddy was fighting a brigade of teenagers that understood teamwork is the key to defeating the nefarious supernatural foe.
This is actually my favorite Elm Street movie. It has the perfect balance of horror and comedy. I remember seeing an interview with Robert. According to him, part 2 broke the #1 rule: Freddy isn't supposed to enter the real world. How else was Freddy supposed to get victims? In the movie, it's explained by Jennifer that Joey was a master debater in school. So, I'm guessing that Joey's voice was powerful. So, he had to be silenced. Interesting that you guys mentioned Beetlejuice, but didn't mention the Beetlejuice snake scene. I read somewhere that Chuck Russell was supposed to direct Beetlejuice. That's why both this movie and Beetlejuice have snake scenes. I don't mind Amanda Krueger being in this movie. She had to get Neil to believe. Interesting comment about the Freddy skelton. That makes sense. I thought that the Freddy processing a fetus story was supposed to be for part 2? That was vetoed by Sarah Riser at New Line, because she was pregnant at the time. I saw Freddy's Dead in theater when it came out. I was 8 turning 9. I wasn't scared. I thought that it was funny. The next year, i went to visit my dad. He let me rent part 1. I didn't make it past the opening scene. I believe that i also saw the hallway scene when Nancy runs into the "hall monitor". I believe that Wes and Bruce wrote a script for four. I don't root for Freddy. I root for the good guys. Like in 4, when Rick battles Freddy. Then Alice battles Freddy at the end. Or the battles in Freddy's Dead, with Freddy and Tracy then Freddy and Maggie/Katherine battle. You guys mentioned something the rules of the series being changed, but didn't expand on that. I don't mind that they changed. Like Freddy said in Freddy's Dead: "it might be your dream, but it's my rules". I only hear Kristen being pronounced one way.
Well, I'm just gonna say this, I know a lot of people shit on it, but my favorite A Nightmare on Elm Street is 4, mainly because when I was a kid that was the first one I was able to watch and it always had that stay power with me. It scared the shit out of kid me so I can't forget it. Don't get me wrong though, I do love 3 and I love 1.
You should highlight the creepy episodes of the Tales from the Darkside besides the opening intro. LOL I watched this on Sci-Fi (Sy-Fy) and Amazing Stories reruns.
I think it would’ve been cool if Penelope’s character’s name wasn’t Jennifer but instead it was Carol Ann (Poltergeist). ANOES isn’t my favorite franchise, I like Friday The 13th better but it is fun.
Awesome video guys! 3 was my favourite for a long time, up until a few years ago. I just cant stand kirstens screaming in the first 15 mins of the movie anymore, and some of the music sounds like some cheap tv movie music lol. Everything about the first movie was done expertly and still completely draws me in. I find 3 the most fun, and has my favourite cast of characters, but 1 is just magic overall
Always thought it was a great sequel. I like how in depth you guys go into shows and movies in details. This movie really got me into the band Dokken 🎶
No doubt about it, in fact it is the best horror sequel out of every horror series ever made. It beats any Halloween, Friday the 13th, Hellraiser, Chucky, and any other horror sequel.

Just had a thought about what can we say that hasnt been said before? At least that im aware of. So on just a story level, joey is clearly the weakest warrior. He can talk. Wow. But metphorically or thematically, he may just be the most significant one. He didnt just gain the ability to speak. He gained the ability to have his voice heard. And one of the themes of the series, especially at this point, is the kids voices being ignored by their parents and all authority figures which helps freddy thrive. So even though it didnt kill freddy, it was still a solid blow landed. Might be reading too deep into things, but that sounds like a good theory at the moment. ✌️

Just ordered a pizza and about to get COZY with this sick dumpster ep!
She doesn't say Kiersten... She just kind of mumbled Kristen because she's tired
She totally says Kirstin when she’s talking to the little girl. -Joe
You should highlight the creepy episodes of the Tales from the Darkside besides the opening intro. LOL I watched this on Sci-Fi (Sy-Fy) and Amazing Stories reruns.
We have a whole side show called Talks from the Darkside dedicated to the entire series! We are currently at the end of season 2. Check it out!
Love you guys
Thanks for the support!! 🙏💚📼
Thanks for watching! 🙏💚📼
No doubt about it, in fact it is the best horror sequel out of every horror series ever made. It beats any Halloween, Friday the 13th, Hellraiser, Chucky, and any other horror sequel.
Y'all are the best
Thanks for your support! 🙏💚📼

Thank you so much for your support! 🙏💚📼
@@MovieDumpster it was the least I could do
I actually don't hate Freddy's Dead, it is dated because its more like a 90s stoner movie than a Freddy movie, but I was a stoner so I liked it.
So glad you guy did a Nightmare movie on the dumpster
Like they said “third times the charm” and this movies got hella charm!
Digging that nose ring. When do I get my 3 wishes?
Must be the Kazaam shirt subliminally making me think that.
I can only make it rain junk food. So, if that’s your wish consider it done! -Joe
@@MovieDumpster I was going to say I have a hankering for taco bell if you want to door dash it or whatever. Do a little fold left arm, fold right arm, nod *sproing* 🧞♂️. Now I have a lap full of chalupas. Thanks djin. I mean djoe. I'll let you know when I think of what I want for my last 2 wishes. But, heads up, they're gonna be gross.
I have a random question: how do you delineate or distinguish your seasons? Just curious. Love the content as always
Our seasons run full years. This episode would be S7 E12. They are marked on the audio version of the show.
I understand. It always felt so random for some reason. Seven years you've been doing this then ?! Wow I only got on board with you guys maybe a couple years ago after you guested on...alien 3 I think...hack the movies with the incredibly famous and known Tony
That’s a great point!
A great story from the set of the music video. Don Dokken and Robert England...in full Freddie make up...doing blow off of his finger knives 😂😂😂
a good soundtrack
Speaking of Screaming Mad George, yall should review Society! :D
Yes! We def will at some point. We’ve talked about it a few times.
I was about 7 when I first watched Freddy, my parents weren't the best parents 😂
This is like morning zoo radio
Thanks?
