Does the catch basin have a rock bottom so the water will leach through and into the underlaying soil? I have a cracked floor clear across the floor about 4ft from garage doors that needs to be hammered out so I might as well do this and then I'll also have a floor drain. Good idea and video!
I would definitely do this if you are removing concrete anyway. The bottom is solid and water is held and can be pumped out. I don't recommend draining water under the slab.
We have done a couple projects in Edmonton. To something similar would be roughly $5k plus travel and accommodation of around $1500 to stay up in Edmonton for a couple days.
What would be the appropriate cost of an installation like this? I am in Canada and am hoping that someone does this sort of work in Ontario. I generally have a lot of issues with the snow melting off the cars in winter and collecting in the basement.
Nice clean install. Looks great!
Thank you so much!
Where did you get the catch basin I can't find one that big
What’s the make and model of that catch basin? Looking for something just like this.

This is exactly the same issue that I’m dealing with up here in Edmonton! Do you do work up here? How much would it cost approximately?
