      They are caribsea life rock. There’s about 25-30 lbs. I would recommend a bit less.. maybe 20 lbs if I were to do it again

    What skimmer are you using

      Wayne Miller thanks for the question! I’m using the eshopps nano skimmer. If you want to see more about it. Check out the video dedicated to the skimmer install. Thanks for watching!

    I just got the same skimmer as you for my flex. I plugged it in and the cup overflowed. I raised it as high as I could with the magnet and it still looked like it was trying to overflow. I turned the switch on the pump down past half and I got bubbles at the base of the cup where I want them, but they are sending microbubbles into the tank. How is yours set up and did you have any trouble?

      Cody Cumberland awesome! It’s a great skimmer but all skimmers usually have a break in time, I think the instructions say it can take up to a week. But it’s ok if it overflows, it’s really just tank water at this point, until you start seeing a dark color in the skimmate then you don’t really need to worry about it going back into the tank. The micro bubbles are normal for the break in period. Just give it a few days and it should be dialed in. All good things take time my friend!

      @@AquaristExhibit last question, when I do a water change and I have to turn the skimmer off, does it have to break in again. Or if I shut it off and clean it out?

    • @AquaristExhibit
      @AquaristExhibit  4 года назад +1

      @@codycumberland6532 nope, one break in is all it requires. And there’s not too much to clean.. collection cup, and the pump’s filter mesh. Then just empty it out as it fills! Hope this all helps!
