  • We explore the compelling reasons why people find themselves inexplicably drawn to toxic relationships, using renowned psychologist B.F. Skinner's theory of schedules of reinforcement as our guide.
Every day, thousands of individuals find themselves trapped in unhealthy relationships that seem impossible to escape. Despite the pain, toxic dynamics can exert a powerful hold on our emotions, leaving us questioning our own sanity. But why do we desire these harmful connections?
By unlocking the secrets of Skinner's theory, we uncover the psychological mechanisms at play behind our yearning for these detrimental relationships. Skinner's concept suggests that our behaviours are shaped by the consequences they bring, either rewarding or punishing us in different ways and on various schedules.
In this video, we examine how the schedules of reinforcement can influence and perpetuate toxic relationship patterns. We'll explore the five main types of reinforcement schedules - continuous, fixed ratio, variable ratio, fixed interval, and variable interval - and how they can trap individuals in a cycle of unhealthy patterns.
Don't forget to hit that subscribe button and turn on notifications as we explore fascinating psychological phenomena and help unravel the mysteries of the human mind.
Remember, understanding the "why" behind our desires is the first step towards personal growth and positive change.

i see what you're saying, there really is just a need for balance and creating your own measured darkness for yourselves, finding the fine line which is a continuous (paradoxical) search. sort of taking more control by directing/channeling your uncontrolled energy or desire for it somehow 🖤🌀♾️🐇🕳️🤍
