nastia is one of the few pro gymnists who have a feminine body. other professional female athletes have very muscular legs, arms, shoulders...etc. she is kind of like anna kornikova.

This was amazing. So much respect, and her wisdom.. that made me realise some things. I want to meet her one day.

I too wish she would have made it in. However, the standing ovation she got at the trials was very touching. She had an amazing career.

2/ When I learned that my grand daughter became a champion in her gymnastic group in Westchester, New York. I said to my Irish son-in-law that I was worried about the danger being a gymnast. His answer was that even a bicycle rider can get killed by riding a bicycle ! She is only 12 years old, but received a standing ovation in her summer camp before they went to London for the Olympic a few days ago. George Wu, AIA 2012-7-30

1/ attitute of the Russians are amazing. My first International Ballrtoom teacher, Mr. & Mrs. Popov, the Champions from Mosco. taught me in 1991, private lesson on using the hips to swing my Feather step, which gave me the foundation of my Ballroom dancing. Their professionalism impressed me til this day. No wonder Nastia got to the top at such a young age, And her last statement is even more impressive, " we take chance not only on the bar, but also in our every day life."

age is just age.. I just saw a veteran at the age of 57 or was it 37? I'm not sure.. but they were still able to compete at the Olympics (London 2012) and represent their country! Look at some of the veterans in swimming, diving, basketball, beach volleyball, etc... still competing! As long as they're in great shape, they'll be fine.

Why bother posting such a comment? Do you really feel like you are telling her anything she doesn't know? Maybe you're young and you don't understand how your comment could be interpreted, but I'm sure I'm not the only one who read it and thought the same thing as I. Try being encouraging, supportive, or just plain nice. It'll get you much farther in life, I promise you.

she knew she was in her prime in 08 and at 23 is soooo old for gymnastics and she's still at it THAT in itself is impressive, she knew that she wouldnt do as well as she did in 08 and thats perfectly ok, but she needs a positive outlook or else nothing will ever be possible. and thats what she does and thats what she needs and it is perfectly understandable

He/she's just stating their opinion, as you've stated yours. Relax, that's what the comment section is for.

She WAS one of the greatest gymnasts in the world, but not anymore. I love her too but she would not have been any help to the US team in London, her time came and went.

Not neccessarily..but most of the times :) I know a lot of people who would have been one of the best in the world (not in gymnastics tho :D) but because there's no money for lessons or whatever they had to quit..that's just how it works :/
