- Jessica Matthews believes the greatest innovators are kids at heart. So her invention, the SOCCKET, is as simple as it is brilliant: a soccer ball that harnesses the kinetic energy of play to create electrical energy. For kids in developing countries, it's a way to light their homes, keep food fresh and water clean, just by playing outside with their friends.
In this film, we join Jessica as she sees how her inspired idea is changing lives across the globe.

My goodness this is brilliant
I'm shocked, Jessica is amazing! She's someone that inspires me to do better and I want to be like her someday.
These videos make me cry. i feel like a shit person for not going out there and making the world a better place. This motivates me to look into getting involved.
You don't have to feel horrible for not doing anything. You should actually feel that you can do something and it is up to you to do it. Everyone is changing the world in thete own way, you just have to choose yours
This is absolutely spectacular.
Absolutely Amazing and inspiring....

There is a lot of love and support that I want to share right now but I lack the proper writing skills to do so. Absolutely incredible and magnificent video. I just want to ask something? Why isn't these socket balls around? I live in Cairo, Egypt. Yes we don't suffer electricity issues like the examples shown in the video but we still have problems. If these balls were to be sold in the market, I'm sure a lot of people, including me, would buy them. The facts that these balls aren't popular and that a video like this is no longer trending after these years, I just question the reliability of these balls. Are they strong enough not to get broken after first week playing? Is the cost of a ball so expensive to be impractical? Maybe it's the batter. In the video, it seemed great but in real life, 3 hours just to power a lamp maybe isn't great at all. I really don't know. It's an interesting topic. Unfortunately, I've zero knowledge about it except for this video. I would really like someone to provide a full story on the matter.
oh god this is so true and sad
Anyone know what Josiah is doing years later ?
Hello mam can u send me the design of the appartus which convert electricity?
♥️
If a kid gets angry and walk away with their ball, someone won't have light.
