I Created a REALISTIC ARCANE VI in Photoshop!

I am super excited to tell you that I was invited by ‪@envato‬ to participate in the Arcane fan-art showdown! And this is a really epic team-up with many of our favorite incredible artists and creators all around the world coming together for some Arcane action! We will get to see so many epic styles of artwork come together. And in this video, I will show you how I created my entry.

As for my artwork, I totally love the character of Vi from the Arcane show. I think she had a solid personality and is a real hard-hitter. So, I tried to create a composition based on her and went for a photo-realistic version with photo manipulation. It would be more like how Vi would have looked in a live-action movie.

Don't put down your painting skills. You nailed those gauntlets! I wasn't sure about the model you chose for VI but you made me a believer. You even added the tiny bit of distortion caused by the flying glass. Now that is attention to detail.

You know... when I first started watching your channel, I thought to myself, I can do what he's doing. Now you've progressed so far, there is no way I'd attempt something this ambitious. Its no wonder what you can create, this piece is magnificent! But here's something I feel might be wrong or maybe not aswell.
I think the small clock in the hextech gauntlet should go all the way to the right, it pressurizes the gauntlet to its max limit. And that's what happened during the fight scene in the show

Yup you caught it right!!! I think it goes to the red part in the dial...which is left here...I might have made it flipped I need to check... But yes if moved it to max I also needed to add some steam 😁

Would be great if you explain how you did the blue light on Vi's gauntlet. I admit it could change the way i approach light in digital painting, making it more ''natural''.

Well I tried to create base light using curves ...I think I dragged the blue channel curve up... Then I kept duplicating and stacking the glows for a more controlled gradual increase... You can use the same by stacking linear dodge and color dodge layers.... At least that is how I do ...
