Thanks, John. 👍 I was unsure where to place the first strip. Now I can get on with the rest of it.
Take your time my friend and do it the way it suits you. It is a 2nd planking, after the sanding you won't be able to know where one strip starts and when the other ends :)

Hi John!, always Relaxing to watch your builds, i hope you are some what getting back to normal after Wolfs passing. That puppy looks like a lot of fun, just make sure he doesn't chew on any of those ships😃

John, maybe you can try using polyethylene or polypropylene gloves of some kind and maybe the glue won’t stick to your fingers.
Or maybe you can find a way to use parchment paper when you apply pressure to the strips.
Or maybe even wrap Teflon tape around your fingertips.
The easiest way is to use medium CA glue, but then i cannot use the little tube tips...
Hi John the victory is twin hull planking on a much larger scale which can be easier and the results are a lot better as you have more thickness to get better hull shape

Effectivement je me doute que réaliser un second bordage en bois exotique peut paraitre long et ennuyeux, mais je pense que ce dernier valorise pas mal une maquette et lui donne un meilleur fini.
Je trouve que vous vous en sortez très bien et que vous allez être très content du résultat.

Great instructions John. Did you ever consider to use pattex glue to do second planking. maybe this is less sticky to the fingers then CA glue. I had same experience like you on my beagle planks stick to my fingers and not on my ship.
Thank you very much Peter!!! I do no know that type of glue. A good type so you don't have the sticky finger effect is the medium CA but i find that hard to use with the little tube tips.

Can you use wood glue on the 2nd planking?
You can but it will take forever to dry.
Pretty soon he will be Buuuddddyyyy's size....
